We could get in trouble || Avery & Melissa
It was an understatement to say Melissa was scared; she was absolutely terrified. She concluded that after this, she was never going to get in trouble ever again. Even if Avery begged her to. The brunette watched in shock as her accomplice stuffed two eggs from an egg carton, then handed her two more. Melissa reluctantly obliged, hiding them in the pocket of her jacket. Staying quiet and following Avery, Melissa grew anxious; she had no idea what he was up to and when he was going to unleash his prank. In confusion, she whispered to him, “S-so what exactly are we g-going to do?”
She saw that Avery was growing more and more excited by the second, while she grew more and more frightened and guilty. Watching him with a furrowed and worried look, Melissa prepared her apologies in her head. She hoped the prank wasn’t too bad that it would land them in serious trouble, but she could only hope. “P-please don’t arrest us, A-Avery. I can’t deal w-with that,” she begged as her last hope. I’m going to regret this, she thought.
After paying the alcohol free beer, Avery turned his eyes to Melissa. He could clearly see that she was literally shaking, scared. He hesitated for a moment, thoughtful. The younger boy was about to lose his new and only friend. He couldn’t allow that. He took the terrified girl arm in arm, to reassure her. Then he led her out of the store, and when they were quite far away from there, he made her sit on a little wall. “Did you see? We’re safe! Nothing happened! Are you okay?”
Avery took a deep breath, before talking again. “Look, there’s this old man, who lives near me and insults me every day.” He looked at the girl intensely. “He keep saying that I’m a nothing, that I won’t find a job, and that I will die alone. I thought it would be fun if I did a little prank to him.” Avery made a little smile. “This old man goes to Cali Café at 4pm, and he usually takes a dark beer. Today, we’re going to replace his dark beer, and we’ll put a little surprise in it. What do you think?” And he looked up to her, hopeful.
I'm so tired.
Not that I know of, no. But The Lorax is on Netflix now, and that’s a great one! And it makes me cry at the end… too many inspiring musical numbers.
I've actually never saw that movie! What is it about?
Musical? Yeah, musicals are pretty inspiring usually.

Mon Dieu, I haven’t watched a tv program in years.. or at least any good shows, the soaps they flicker on the tv set in the hospital are full of cheesy acting and artificially pretty people. So no, I don’t but if worse comes to worse, you could always pop in a film.
Ugh, I hate soaps. They just make me want to jump off a cliff everytime my mom watches one of them. I think the film is a great option, thank you mademoiselle.

Walking hurriedly to La Princesse, Melissa was shaking. She was talking to Avery for one second and then suddenly she was agreeing to pull pranks on people with him. Not even her older siblings had tried to pull pranks with her, because she was always the victim. So this endeavor to her was entirely new. She tried her best to forget the fact that she would feel guilty afterwards and try to have fun with her new friend. Avery seemed happy to spend time with her, and she couldn’t pass that offer. She had seen him at school by himself most of the time because everyone hated him for his pranks. And she wanted to be an older sister for the younger teen.
Seeing the brown haired boy outside of the store, Melissa’s stomach twisted with guilt. She felt bad for what she was about to do, but convinced herself that it would make Avery happier. Walking over to the boy, she smiled awkwardly and sighed, “So… w-where do we s-start?”
A smile made its way on Avery’s face. “Well, Melissa, first of all we go into the grocery store. We need some eggs.” He answered with a gesture of the head towards the store. The younger boy turned and opened the door. “Ladies first.”, he said. He waited for Melissa to enter into the shop, then he followed her. The brown haired boy looked at his new friend, and he put a finger on his lips to let her know to make no noise. Melissa seemed like one of those girls who had never stolen anything, even by mistake.
Avery slowly opened a pack of eggs, pulling two of them out; afterward he put them in the pockets of his jacket. Then he turned back to the remaining eggs, he took them, and then the excited boy looked at his accomplice, putting the eggs in her hands. “Hide them.”, mimed with the mouth. After that Avery went to the drinks ward, he took a non-alcoholic dark beer, and he quickly walked to the check-out. “I take this”, announced to the saleswoman placing the beer on the conveyor belt.
Deciding to come back to Earth a little.

Avery looked at his clock. Yes, he was in time. The brown-haired boy was waiting in front of La Princesse, nearly jumping by the excitement, like every time he was about to do one of his pranks. He didn’t really know Melissa would have reacted hearing his plan. When he first talked to the strawberry blonde girl, he tought that she would have been the perfect victim of one of his tricks, due to her stutter and the fact that she seemed shy and weak. But as the conversation progressed, he started to feel like she could be like a friendfor him, or even better, a sister. Since nobody in his school seemed to like him, and his parents couldn’t give him a sibling, Avery really needed a little bit of company. He was just hoping that everything would’ve been gone well and Melissa wouldn’t have been taken in the act with him. She had a good reputation, after all. And Avery thought that if something would’ve gone wrong, she would’ve never talked to him again.
The boy peered again the clock, and he looked up, seeking his accomplice.
