I saw someone's hot take that if it was Ochako, Shoto, or Iida that dies in the final war arc, Izuku would've reacted the same.

I agree a thousand percent but the comments were all;

"Oh, no he wouldn't because he has a different bond with Bakugo."

"No. Because Bakugo is his soulmate. His other half."

"Only Bakugo can bring that reaction out of him."

Did you all forget Izuku's sympathy??? How he hates anyone getting hurt because of him???

He literally started crashing out when Aizawa and Gran Torino got fucked in the paranormal liberation war arc.

In the liberation war arc and the final war segment, he thought of everyone that got hurt. It wasn't just bakugo. There was more emphasis on Bakugo because Horikoshi wanted to shove it in our face that he was so important to Izuku's life now.

He would react the same fucking way because Ochako, Shoto, and Iida are his fucking friends. He cares about them a lot. He doesn't want them hurt because of him. He doesn't want anyone hurt because of him.

I feel it would've hit harder if it was Shoto because there's the additional part of him actually being free from Endeavors nightmare parenting and actually experiencing a good life for once. Because someone like Izuku would think of something like that in addition to his death.

Same with Ochako. She still had her parents to help. She still wants to see people smile, she still had Himiko to help. Iida still had to live up to his brother's name, to help lost children. These people he knew who also had dreams like him. He would hate it because that's the type of person that he is.

izuku crashed out because someone died, not only because of who. Mirko, Best Jeanist, Nejire, and Tamaki were also fucked up in that moment and he was also panicking over them.

Izuku crashed out because he wasn't there to prevent it. Shut up about Blondie! It could be anyone and he'd still be crashing out. It just ended up that Bakugo got hurt in the Paranormal Liberation War Arc in which Izuku reacted to the most because, again, Horikoshi is shoving it to our face that Bakugo is that important to Izuku and made Shigaraki targeted him for that. Note that he was also going to kill everyone else in that coffin.

That half ass apology and brushing off his bullying isn't nearly enough for this Blondie to even be considered a decent person in Izuku's life.

I've always really loved how Geto's trauma has been portrayed. His weight loss is a small detail that I love even though it's sad and besides that his messy, unruly hair (even in scenes where he had his hair tied in a bun it still looked unkempt) and the way he didn't even wear his uniform properly anymore... :( These little details make his story so sad; he didn't have the motivation anymore to do even the simplest of things. This is something that is very important to show when you're portraying depression and trauma in media and Gege (and Mappa) did it perfectly.

For anime onlys this episode was really important. All they know about Geto is from the movie where he was an antagonist and it's important for them to know what exactly happened that made Geto become like that.

Geto was empathetic, kind, caring, and loving. But he's the one who suffered the most from being a jujutsu sorcerer. First of all, his cursed technique is the hardest both mentally and physically. It's literally described as “the taste of a cursed spirit no one knows... Like swallowing whole a cloth that was used to wipe up vomit”. Consuming people's negative emotions daily? It's understandable why Geto felt so shitty after doing it.

But after seeing people cheering at Riko's death, seeing his friends die protecting non-sorcerers, seeing a whole village of more than a hundred residents call on for the death of two little girls, it's very understandable why Geto just snapped. He undertook so much burden and pain, so much suffering and hardship, and all it resulted in was humans mistreating sorcerer's in such a horrible way.

That's when this quote comes: “it's just that in a world like this, I couldn't laugh from the bottom of my heart”. He couldn't live in a world where he and other jujutsu sorcerers were treated in such a way. And that's how he started away from his ideals.

I really hope I don't have to see anime onlys blindly hate on him anymore now that his full story and trauma is in front of them.

I feel like the big thing people get wrong when they think of Bakusquad and Dekusquad dynamic is that they think Bakusquad are the crazy ones, not the other way around.

This honestly is so funny to me because in cannon Iida has tried to commit murder, with Todoroki and Deku only kind of trying to stop him. Not even mentioning Ochakos (and Tsu’s!!) relationship with confirmed villain Toga. Meanwhile Bakugo goes to bed at 9 every night.

Like when I imagine each of their groups hanging out it’s like “omg let’s do something crazy!!”

For Bakusquad that’s making cookies at 11pm, or dying their hair at 9:30 on a school night.

For Dekusquad? That’s keying and spray painting all over Endeavours car. Then accidentally participating in an underground fight club. (They won obviously) Or going out to some random field at 3 in the morning to help Hatsume test out some insane machine she just made, knocking over a water tower and fleeing the scene.

It’s just funny how people always think it’s the opposite, when it’s really not. Like the Dekusquad look innocent and act like they’re the normal ones, but in reality they are all one step away from getting arrested every single time they go out. While bakusquad act crazy and rowdy, the craziest thing their doing is getting slushys at 7/11 and overflowing the cup more then they should.

I like to imagine whenever bakugo and Deku hangout they both will talk about the crazy stuff they did, and not elaborate, leaving them both thinking the other is as ‘unhinged’.

Something I hear a lot from bakugo fans whenever I point out that he is a sadistic person who enjoys hurting others, they say "no you got it all wrong! He loves winning!"

But here's the thing, what bakugo considers "winning" is always at somebody else's expense. He can't just be good at something he has to be better than somebody else. He can't be confidant he has to tear down somebody else's esteem. He can just win, he has to beat somebody at something.

He has consistantly refused to do anything hero related that doesn't permit him to beat soembody up. So their right that bakugo loves winning. It's just that "winning" to him always involves him tearing down somebody else in the process.

Bakugo: I bullied/physically harmed the main character for years on end, "apologized" in the seventh season, and proceeded to change nothing
