Well hello there! Welcome to my blog! I'm suchusoid! But please, call me suchu!

I've decided to finally make a little introduction post for some of you to get to know a little bit about me, and also to lay down some ground rules for my blog!

This is my sona! He's a reptoid alien that is also a darkatalkers oc!

Now lemme tell you a little about me!

-big into nerd culture. I nerd out about a my interests a lot.

-I'm a big zoology enthusiast, especially anout reotiles and amphibians!

-I'm an empath, and a pretty emotional one at that.

-I can be pretty critical. It helps me have an outlet for rage and frustration, and plus, scrutiny is an important thing in media.

-I make a lot of ocs! I'm pretty up to my neck in them lol.

-I'm the current admin of the mha Criticizers/Rewriters community!

-recent become a self/yumeshipper! My f/o is hsien-ko from darkstalkers. I'm absolutely bananas over her it's almost comical.

-I'm a bit...jumpy. dealing with paranoia, moral ocd, and social anxiety. So apologies in advance if I ever seem to freak out iver something small.

-I like superheroes! In fact I currently have my own superhero story in the works!

-currebtly making my own spider-man au called "the weird n wonderful spider-man"

-staunch atheist, always have been, always will be, I'm very critical of the abrahamic religions and how they've been mostly used as tools of oppression and subjugation.

Glad you asked! She's from a somewhat forgotten fighting game called "darkstalkers" basically imagine street fighter, but the roster is entirely comprised of horror monsters(and a depraved gun-toting little red riding hood) and they all behaved and moved like hannah barbera characters in battle.

You think I'm joking? The creators strsight uo said they used hannah barbera cartoons as inspirations for the character sprites and movements.

And I mean, just look as these sprites.

Honedtly the still shots do do them justice.

Also yes, I made a self sinsert oc for this like any selfshipper does, he's an alien reptoid.

i’m gonna be a little annoyingly woke for a sec so ignore me but it’s really weird when people genderbend all the women in a piece of media but never a single one of the dudes

i love well made gender bends with all my heart and im fine with them not gender bending the entire cast. but sometimes it’s a little suspicious. especially when everyone in the comments says that it’s finally good now that there’s little to no women.

Rewriting scorpion vs kraven

As a follow up to my post complaining about how lazy it felt for the writers to nerf scorpion in his confrontation with kraven, this is how I would rewrite the scene, without any unecessary nerfing.

So we have spider-man walk into the testing room to see a replica of mac's suit with a hole in it. He finds out that kraven's hunters were cooking up a weapon that could pierce through mac's armor. (Like an armor piercing crossbolt or something along those lines)

Then we have spider-man see the footage of tbe confrontation. Kraven walks into the enclosure to see that socrpion escape his cage and killed the huntrrs guarding him. Then scorpion burst out of the sand and stings kraven, thinking it'll kill him, only to be shocked and suprised to see that kraven is immune to said venom thatnks to the potion he took. Mac's shock and hesistation gives kraven an opening, and he takes this by whipping out the new weapon and shooting at mac, piercing through the armor and hitting mac square in the heart. Right before mac dies, kraven tells him how dissappointed he is at how easy it was to kill him, given that he was heralded to be a dangerous and powerful killer.

There, problemo solved.

Comics have always worked on a rule

Whoever writes decides who wins, as they want to convey a story to share

That’s how you get characters like Sentry losing

Because it’s more so the matter and principle of the story that needs to be illustrated and shared compared to power scaling

Because if we always rely on that there would be no story to ever have because problems wouldn’t exist to begin with

I'm not even against kraven killing scorpion, just that they not make mac uncharacteristically weak while doing so.

It's not that hard for the writers to come up with a believeable way for kraven to kill mac.

Venom and Scorpion: a tale of two anti-spider-men

So, the main reason scorpion is often considered amkng the lesser of spider-man's central rogues gallery is simply that his main gimmick of being an anti-spider-man was more or less taken by venom, leading many to say that venom makes scorpion obsolete as a character entirely. I for one, disagree with this sentiment, and I firmly believe that with the right character tinkering, they could both work as anti-spider-men in their own ways enough to still feel like distinct characters.

To prove my point, I'm ginna be comparing my reimaginigns of these two from earth 1638, home of my spider-man au, "the weird N' wonderful spider-man!" And show how they can both be "anti-spider-men" without overlapping too much.

First is eddie brock and V, who together make up earth-1638's venom.

Venom is an anti-spider-man in the sense that they emulate the wallcrawler in every way you can think of. Their appearance is a combination of spider-man's costume and eddie's motorcyling outfit, combimed with some monsterous features like a toothy grin and sharp clawed hands and feet.

They also use the symbiote physiology of V to replicate spidey's abilities, from His strength, to his webs, to even his spider-sense.

On top of that, V's history from being bonded with spider-man before eddie lets them imitate his fighting style and his quippy bantering personality.

In short, venom is an anti-spider-man in the semse that they emulate his look, abilities, techniques, and even mannerisms all to get in the wallcrawlers head.

Now let's move on to elaine coll, aka scorpion-girl, earth 1638's version of the scorpion.

Unlike venom, scorpion-girl isn't an anti-spider-man due to how much she emulates the wallcrawler, but from the fsct that she is his opposite in nearly every important way

-spider-man bas spider-themed powers, -scorpion-girl has scorpion-themed powers

-spider-man's powers come from his biological mutations, scorpion-girl's posers comes from her battlesuit.

-spider-man is a vigilante who fights for the people and is seen as a menace by the status quo and law enforcement. Scorpion-girl is an enforcer of the status quo who is upheld by the system as a "real hero".

-spider-man has a double life, balancing his civilian identity with his superhero one. Scorpion-girl's identity is public ever since her debut.

-spider-man uses clever strategies, quick thinking, and snealy tactics to save the day. Scorpion-girl relies on brute force, raw strength, and sheer firepower to beat her foes.

-spider-man is a model of restraint and self control, only using as much force as he needs to when fighting villains, because he still has compassion and concern for their well being despite them being, well, villains. Scorpion-girl is violent, ruthless, quick to anger, and has no qualms with trying to murder her foes.

-peter parker became a better person when he became spider-man. Elaine coll became a monster when she became scorpion-girl.

Also, socrpion-girl was literally made by the corrupt government as their response to spider-man, and made her to defeat and replace him, so she is quite literally and anti-spider-man weapon.
