i think a very difficult stage in an artist’s path is when they must paint themselves. once that has been done, it becomes easier to pick apart and isolate elements, ncreasing the size of them until it has become something tangible and specific, weight added by specificity of feeling. but in order to begin to exist, you must focus on the greatest pull; done only when you can step back from the canvas and be washed by the levity of being in the presence of your soul now physical, and let the world bathe in your insides
