Return To Fashion
The past two years have brought a range of changes, from experiencing a literal global pandemic in the midst of completing my bachelor's degree to navigating the growing pains ushered in by the chaotic twenties. I have found and lost myself countlessly and in the midst tragically lost my passion for fashion.
Fashion has been a constant in my life, a definitive aspect of my interests, and, honestly, the reason I started this blog. Thus neglecting this part of my identity left me starved for this form of expression.
While I lost interest in curating fashion content, I remained eager to express myself in my everyday life.
I unintentionally adopted a new sense of style that spoke to a new self.
This style prioritizes functionality / subtle tones, but more revolutionary, it represents a growing acceptance of my body by embracing my femininity.
The images capture the essence of my current style, taken by my numero uno photographer Shilika Chisoko.
Sidebar images were taken during rainy November 2021 in Makhanda(EC), cue mismatching seasonal pieces.
As I evolve, I am excited to discover new ways of capturing my style and ultimately grow my voice within the fashion world.
