Chapter 32: Everything she lost
Svet brought a hand up to Mandyās cheek, stroking it gently. Reminding Mandy that she was cared for in a way sheād never thought to hope forācould hardly have imagined. The sweet touch was such a contrast to the harshness of the words that followed. āHeāll kill him the next time. Your father. You know this.ā
āBut heās my father,ā Mandy said quietly, as fear began to build in her belly.
āYour father, just like my father. Youāre no better than a whore to him. Used you like you were his whore.ā Svet brought her forehead to Mandyās and said plainly, āYou are nobodyās whore. Youāre too good, too soft, too sweet. Not like me.ā
It's almost time! Gallavich Summer Camp 2026 is almost over for the year, and our bunks are busily finishing up the final touches on their fics and art!

To celebrate my first anniversary of being in the Shameless fandom (and because Iām in constant need of something to keep myself busy with š¤) I am launching a blog dedicated to Shameless artists!
Shameless Gallery is a library and archive of all the artists who has made (and is still making!) art of our totally shameless faves. As a hoarder of fanart, I thought why not share my hoard to the horde?
Shameless Gallery has a Creators Masterlist which lists down every single creator I have encountered on this website that has made Shameless art. Feel free to browse and hopefully it inspires you to create your own!
I am also working on a Characters List, a Pairing List, and a Specific Tag list so itās easier to find what youāre looking for. This is kind of a massive undertaking so the blog is a work in progress. However posts are now queued and shuffled so you get random Shameless fanart on your dash throughout the day.
It has been a month. It feels like a really long month, but not because I read loads, unfortunately. Over half of what I did read was finishing my Cooperative Gameplay reread... And then I read Notes on Optimism (the Mickey pov sequel/gap filler) as well. I recommend both of those (especially my beloved CG!!) but they're not new bookmarks.
A lot of the rest were our wonderful Gallavich week collections, and everyone did amazing! I thought about bookmarking all of them... But because I forgot June only has 30 days, I'm doing this in more of a rush than usual so I kept it to my favourite favourites. But know that I loved reading everything you put out, and I reblogged all the stuff I enjoyed along the way too.
So I read 402k words from 29 fics, which as I say was about half CG words. That was my only fic over 30k this month, and one of only two over 15k. The heat is partially to blame, and so is my brain. Hopefully I'll recover some vim over the rest of the summer.

Seven double drabbles for Gallavich week, all with supernatural/magical elements. I love Evie's writing and these were fun... A couple in particular painted enough of a picture that I was mentally trying to fill in the whole world and it was a lot of fun.Ā

Another Gallavich week story, an alternative meeting for our boys, at a funeral for someone neither of them know... I took my first foray into betaing for this fic, and it was fun to see it take shape.

This was a delightful shortish fic for Gallavich week! Demon Mickey and Angel Ian must join forces to save the world... Only they keep getting distracted along the way. I had a lot of fun with it. Especially snuggly boys wrapped in angel wings.
Hysterical Light by quietcoast
One of the fic club picks this month, and I loved it! Mysterious magical happenings, Mickey is trapped in the cursed Milkovich house, Ian and the Gallaghers start experiencing strangeness... Beautifully paced and an interesting story.Ā Ā

Ian and Mickey had an argument and then Mickey went out into the zombie apocalypse. The zombie apocalypse is a background feature... this is really a sad and sweet fic, with just a little bit of Mickey covered in blood (positive).

well hello š i also loved my interpretation of the threesome and i will simply be self-righteous about it forever. as for the other thing...... that happens in literally two (2ļøā£) of the 13 shameless fics i've written lmao (not including the 5+1's i'm sure it happens a couple of times there). most of mine aren't very smutty - unless, of course, they are very smutty. now! i have been working on the same two fics for literally two years because i am terrible and bad so while i will say like. don't hold your breath, just know that things are brewing and bubbling in the brain! and they will (eventually) feature the very thing you would like to see š

Ian remembers.Ā
He remembers when his lust was the force that set the pace and tone for entire days and nights. When he was bouncing around the city with his mother, unmedicated and out of his mind, not really registering how dangerous his actions were or how lucky he is today that they didnāt result in any lasting consequences. He remembers how it drove him to do things he never would have done, things he knew could hurt Mickey if he ever found out (did he find out?) when they were living together at the Milkovich house.Ā
The lust he feels now is not that.Ā
Itās not destructive, itās not dangerous. Itās the lust he feels for his husband, who is currently sitting next to him hurling insults at the TV while they watch this stupid game show that they both like. If he acts on it, he never ends up hurt or feeling used and hollow. He feels loved and whole, in a way he never thought he could.Ā
āWhatās on your mind, Red?ā Mickey is eyeing him suspiciously.Ā
Ian smiles suggestively as he moves closer to kiss his husband, āA lot of things, actually. Here, let me show youā.
It makes his chest ache in a strange way. Maybe itās because he thinks it might be more than lust. But demons donāt feel that shit. So it canāt be.
āI wanna understandā¦ā Mandy paused, trying to figure out how to explain in a way that wouldnāt push Svet away. She chose her words carefully. āYouāre my family. You and Yev. Youāre all I have in this world. And I donāt want there to be secretsāall Iāve ever known is secrets. But you and meā¦ I just wanna know, okay? I just wanna know you. All of you.ā
Svet grabbed Mandyās hand and placed it on her chest. āYou know my heart. Is not good enough?ā

Svet sighed, slipping out from under Mandy. She pushed herself up so her back was against the wall, crossing her arms over her chest as if protecting herselfāfrom what Mandy wasnāt sure she really wanted to know.

š¦Is there another author that helped inspire you to write? Yes, absolutely. There were a cadre actually. And oh have you opened a can of worms... because here's the long ass answer.
Just over two years ago, I signed up to write for Gallavich Summer Camp @gallavichsummercamp. And then I wimped out---so instead I beta'd. And I became friends with a whole crew of writers - @rayrayor, @spacerockwriting, @jrooc, @blue-disco-lights, @mybrainismelted... not to mention the awesome artist/writer @deathclassic. They were Round 1 of inspiration.
Round 2... came in the form of finding an experienced fanfic mentor who reviewed the outline of a story I had been playing around with for months upon months upon months. @heymacy gave me so many awesome ideas (that have made it into that story) and asked me some hard ass questions that changed my approach.
Round 3... came in the form of @jrooc making me write an actual outline - which I mostly used for the first five chapters of what was supposed to be the 12 chapter fic I eventually started writing (I am currently working on chapter 30 of said fic š). And she was the first set of eyes on the first chapter or two--because she is awesome.
Round 4... came in the form of an offer to beta from an author whose stories I adored and who I had gotten to know in the comments of her fics. That author is my current beta - j_q.
Round 5... my last round for the time being is my writing partner in crime--the person who sees everything I write first and motivates me to keep going - @runninonemptyy

š„How long do you spend on edits? I guess the best way to answer that is to explain my process for posting my current WIP. I draft my chapter, then I proof it (including reading the whole thing out loud for typos), send it off to my beta, wait for her feedback, sometimes significantly redraft chunks based on feedback, read the whole thing out loud again, and post. And then I have an awesome friend who checks the posted chapter for any errors I've missed as soon as it goes up.
