"That a great idea!" Roxas said, grinning from ear to ear. "I’ve always wanted to go. We should invite Xion too!"

"Huh. There’s an idea." A large grin grew on his face. "So what would’ya want to do?" he asked, ruffling Roxas’ hair.

"Wha—don’t do that!" Roxas said, shoving Axel’s arm away. "Um…we could get ice cream?" he suggested, attempting to return his ruffled hair to its normal state.

Axel scoffed. “No of course not!” His tone was a bit too defensive for his own liking. He took another bite of his ice cream and averted his eyes away from his friend.

Laughing, Roxas gently elbowed his friend. “Liar!” He then looked back out at the sunset. “I’m not sure what I’m gonna do.” He turned to Axel, “We should do something together.”

Noticing the slight change in Roxas’ mood, Axel decided to change the subject. “So, Saix told me that we have a day off tomorrow.”

Roxas perked up. “Huh? We do?” he asked. “Don’t tell me you’re going to spend the day sleeping like last time?” he said, smirking at Axel.

At this Axel threw his head back laughing. “You’re not wrong there! Working with her on a mission is a pain in the ass.”

"I know, right? All she ever does is baby me and treat me like I’m dumb. And she think’s the only good thing about me is my Keyblade." Roxas took a large and rather violent bite out of his ice cream, pretending it was the Savage Nymph’s head.

"Thanks." Axel took a bite, the coldness from the treat sinking in throughout his whole body. He shivered slightly. "Although Demyx isn’t actually that bad. There are worse members.”

Roxas scoffed at Axel’s defense of Demyx. “I guess.” He took a bite of his ice cream, letting it melt in his mouth, savoring the taste. “Actually, you’re right,” he said. “Larxene is much worse.”
