GAAAHHH I posted a while back abt how I have been working on some crafts- I just realized I never actually uploaded any pics!

Here's a few attempts I made with what I had for our Zoey 💜

I had to rush to do these for a local event happening;;

I started playing KH2 last week (long overdue, I was obsessed with watching the cutscenes on Youtube as a teen) and I've been flooded with nostalgia; looking up Kingdom Hearts online is THE reason I discovered cosplay, and I wanted to cosplay from it soooo bad but I didn't know how to sew, what to buy, and I didn't even know if I'd wear a costume beyond Halloween. (it took a bit of time to finally find a local con, to the point seeing one irl shook me to my core.) I'd thought maybe making a Heartless Kigurumi would be easier than an Org XIII cloak, but even that was too hard at the time and the idea faded away as I got into Valve games by the time I could attend my first con, with their much more achievable thrift-cardboard-modify costumes. With the nostalgia rolling in thick during my playthrough, I decided to finally revisit that Heartless Kigurumi idea! It's ridiculously exciting to go full circle and make what was probably one of my first cosplay ideas, let alone be able to execute it with all of the skills I've accumulated since. (god knows I was allergic to using interfacing early on, and now I'm cramming heavy-duty bag interfacing in those antennas.) Those "childhood dreams" projects are always a treat, but this one just hits a little different between the crafting and finally getting to play the game. There's something about these simpler costume ideas that had once been unachievable, and how I can just execute them on a whim now. I don't know, it's like I'm hand-shaking that kid and saying look, we made it, we can do it. I just wanted to have something cozy to wear around the house in winter but now I think I'll have to take it out at an event. It just came out so cute!
