hi i’m may, you know, from tv, and here is my Very Important list

also yes helena this is a callout post to you

- really funny

- like really, really funny

- inappropriate humor that you can laugh about as it enters your ear holes then say “nooooothing” when your mom asks you what’s so funny

- some good ass representation

- if you’ve ever listened to mbmbam then this is...exactly what you would expect from the mcelroys playing dungeons and dragons

- as in 1% cool battle moves and dramatic scenes and 99% dick jokes

- “aBRACAFUCK YOU”

- interesting romantic subplots that don’t overtake the main story

- people who deserve to get bitch slapped get bitch slapped

- an elevator turns into a mech suit

- ANGUS MCDONALD BOY DETECTIVE

- it’s an audio only podcast so you can picturing everything pretty much however you want

- “yOu’Re dATinG tHe gRiM ReAPeR??!?”

- oh yeah they pull a gravity falls on you

- no you do not get context to that last point

- the cleric is really bad at being a cleric and hilarity ensues

- lots of breaking the fourth wall

- running jokes are funny no matter how many times they’re used

- you get so excited whenever anyone rolls a nat 20

- unless it’s for initiative then you laugh at that being their one good roll for the next five episodes

- cool diversion from traditional d&d playing at one point and it works really well in universe

- pretty much all jokes and laughs for the first few arcs and then BAM tree scene oh no you’re crying

- ✨and it only gets worse from there✨

- the music fucking SLAPS

- griffin’s storytelling is so intricate and compelling that you wanna just drink that shit up for breakfast every day

- did that make sense idk

- by the last ten episodes or so you’re just so immersed in the story that you are not physically capable of thinking about anything else until you finish

- like seriously how did people listen to it while the campaign was still running i would have lost my marbles

- star players justin, travis, and clint mcelroy constantly forget about the items in their inventory

- elevators

- genuinely shocking moments and effective plot twists

- like I dropped my pencil and and my tablet pen both at least once in shock while listening

- there’s a graphic novel adaptation of the first arc and its baller

- cursed things are said

- a ton of references which you will most likely not understand most of but when you do get one you feel so proud of yourself

- the theme song slaps

- it took me like twelve episodes to realize that the voice at the beginning of each episode is just griffin’s voice distorted

- that’s not a reason to listen to taz i just wanted to share my moment of stupidity with you

- there’s a murder mystery
