Guess Who's Back?
Slightly emotional, venting post ahead. I just need to get it out. 😔 I'm so sorry for how long I've been gone. I didn't mean to disappear, crap happened and I wasn't in a good mind set to be creative or active in role-playing. My depression took a bad turn, and I couldn't write anything, let alone consistently. But I'm getting better now, and I feel like I can start slow and work up to where I was before. I just need a better outlet and more socializing, because right now I'm a bit of a lone wolf aside from husband and family. Thank you those of you who have been supportive and stayed with me during my absence, I'm glad my blog hasn't been completely ignored.

Semi Hiatus
Hey guys, I know I haven’t been on much anyways, but I just wanted to announce that I’m participating in NaNoWriMo!!!
For those of you who don’t know what that is, basically you try to write a 50,000 word novel from November 1-November 30. That’s roughly 1,667 words a day.
As this takes up a lot of time and thinking power, I’m not sure how much I’ll be on here, because I really want to hit my goal and do this. I’ll for sure be back in December more actively! Until then, my activity is going to be very sporadic and random, but if I have some free moments, I promise to respond to asks, rps, etc. Thanks for understanding! See you in December.

“I’m not reckless!” Kili glared at Gimli. “You know, when its not Thorin telling me what to do, it’s Fili. And when its not Fili, it’s you! By the Valar, what makes you all think I can’t take care of myself?!”
“’ey there, laddie. I’m not tryin’ ta say that you can’t take care of yerself. But that wound looks pretty bad, you need ta get it patched up!” Gimli looked concerned, his cousin’s stubbornness would get him into more trouble if he didn’t accept help.

“Yeah, I am,” Bruiduin awkwardly scratched the back of his head. “I heard my brother was visiting you here, at the Glittering Caves. Where is he, anyhow?”
Grinning from ear to ear at seeing his friend, Gimli approached him, giving him a big, tight dwarf hug. “He needed ta get some fresh air away from the Caves. Doesn’t do too well underground for long.”
Bruiduin smiled and patted Gimli on the head. “Ah, yes. But I know that he enjoys the sights of the Caves nonetheless.”
Bruiduin then saw Legolas approaching them. “Honeg!” he let go of Gimli and hugged his brother. “It is good to see you again.”
Gimli watched the two embrace, smiling to himself. “Well, I guess luck would be in your favor that both of ye arrived on the same day.”
The two let each other go, both grinning. “Then we shall enjoy the day together.” Legolas said.
The dwarf chuckled at their grins, glad to see both his friends happy. “Well, I’d be happy to show ya the caves, laddie. They are quite beautiful.”
“It’s starting to rain…”

Bruiduin pulled his cloak off and held it over the both of them. “This should keep us a little dry.”

“That’ll do for now.” Gimli gestured for Bruiduin to take the lead, given he was the taller one and could see the path more easily, and since he was holding the cloak over them. “I don’t think I’ve seen rain like this for awhile.”
Bruiduin paced himself so as to not outwalk the dwarf. “In all honestly, I do not find rain unpleasant, unless it is a storm.”
Lightning flashed. “…Maybe I should stay quiet.”
“Aye, maybe that is best not to tempt nature into teaching us a lesson.” He walked as quickly as he could, reaching the shelter in no time. “Now it’s a matter of how long this will last…”
Bruiduin watched the rain fall, aware of the drops that made it past their cover and fell onto his cloak. It would be soaked by the end of this.
They needed to talk about something, so that they would not have to deal with awkward silence. “So…” he began.
The dwarf glanced up at the elf as they took shelter under the trees. “So, what, my friend? Have you been well as of late?” It hadn’t been long since he’d seen the elf, but long enough that he didn’t know if anything was going on in his life.
"More like mischievous woodland spirits, but much more powerful than they should be - and very original too. Do you feel strange?"
“I’m not sure....it seems to have faded.” looks over warily. “But I don’t want ta break anymore trees.”
“You ain’t never had a friend like me.”
“You are very right, Lord Gimli. For until I met you, I had never known a Dwarf. Is it true you live underground surrounded by glittering gems and secret caves?”
As her little hand grasped his big one, Gimli couldn’t help but smile widely at the girl. “Aye, lassie, I would love ta see yer garden, I’m sure it is as beautiful as I remember.” He walked with her, smiling to himself.
She smiled exuberantly and pulled him along, hopping and skipping as she did. “Mother and I planted some new flowers and the bushes I planted last season have finally started to come in. Mother says that when I am grown, the bushes and trees will be taller than me!”
“Well, I’m sure they will be lovely.” He smiled, walking with her, finding her hopping and skipping to be quite entertaining, she sure was a happy little girl. “What is your favorite flower in your garden?”
"Because these greycloaks have visited me too. They possess a strange kind of magic. I think for now it might be better if you try not to... touch anything."
Gimli nodded, slowly putting his hands to his sides. “Aye, that might be wise until this thing wears off. These greycloaks sound like mischievous wizards to me.”
