me and my broken heart ♥ ryva
A couple of months ago, Ryder would never have imagined that Ava and himself would be in the situation they currently are. Never would he have imagined that Ava’s happiness would come miles before his own and after weeks of being single, his heart would still belong to the petite blonde who broke it. The last few months had gone by in a whirlwind, the last few weeks blending together in one big blur. The sandy haired boy could hardly grasp the events of the last couple of weeks, not to mention the situation himself and Ava were in right now. A part of him wanted to walk Ava home and save himself from the hurt rushing through his veins. But he also wanted this moment to last for as long as possible. The petite blonde had the ability to light up a room from the moment she stepped inside and Ryder having her presence within the apartment. If the only time he could actually see Ava was while she was drunk, he’d take it without complaints.
In that moment, it almost as if everything else in the room had blended together in a blur; it was just him and Ava. Nothing else. He tried to disguise the smile that was demanding to be seen as a blush arose on the females cheeks. That was something Ryder had never gotten over, and probably never will. He loved knowing he had the ability to make her blush even after everything that had happened. His eyes followed Ava’s movements as she placed the glass on the table before his eyes quickly met with hers once again. “Like what?” He questioned, raising an eyebrow slightly out of curiosity. As her words rang through his ears, Ryder was completely caught off guard. He wasn’t expecting this at all, not even in the slightest. The last time they’d spoken, Ryder was left with the impression that Ava didn’t want to rekindle their relationship, at least, not yet anyway’s. So it was fair to say her next move caught the younger boy even more off guard as her lips crashed on to his. Ryder was unable to find the will to pull back from the kiss. It was the simple touch that he’d longed and craved for weeks now. He lingered into the kiss for a couple of seconds before realization finally hit him. Ryder pulled away reluctantly whilst refusing to make eye contact with the blonde. “You’re uh, you’re good out here, yeah? I might ——- I’m gonna go back to bed. You know where the fridge is if you need more water.”
There was so much Ava needed to say to Ryder, but trying to put it all into words was the hard part. The last thing the blonde wanted was to be a bother to the boy. She had thought that if Ryder wanted to talk, that he would actually make an effort to do so. But so far, that wasn't happening, and Ava didn't blame the boy at all. Everything about the breakup seemed so surreal. She didn't wanna accept the fact that Ryder was no longer her's. Ava was so in love with Ryder, that it physically hurt. She had never experienced anything like him. He was the first guy Ava had ever thought about having a future with. Every other guy before him was nothing to Ava but a distraction and a possibly good lay. But there were real feelings shared between the two. Well, at least there were. Now Ava was questioning the possibility of Ryder still having the slightest bit of interest in her.
The smile that was spread across Ava's face quickly disappeared as the younger boy pulled away from the kiss. The blonde furrowed her eyebrows, unsure of what to say or do as she awaited on Ryder's next move. As the boy's final words rang through Ava's ears the girl slowly pushed herself off of Ryder without any clue as to what she was supposed to do now. "I uh, I thought this was what you wanted?" The girl mumbled, her statement turning more into a question as the last few words left the girl's lips. Ava's eyes fell back onto the boy as she studied his features once more before going on. "If you can look me in the eye and honestly tell me that you don't love me anymore and that you don't want me as much as I want you then I'll go." Ava muttered. As soon as the last few words left her lips, the image of Ryder with another girl popped into her head, causing the blonde to regret everything she had said and done the whole night. "Fuck, fuck, fuck.." Ava cursed, before reluctantly removing herself up off of the couch. "There's someone else, isn't there?" The girl whispered, already knowing the answer to the question she had just asked.
