@ayyyyla: So, Beacon Falls... did I miss anything?

@ayyyyla: OITNB over homework any day.
just got home from class and i need a nap because I have a million and one things to do tonight ughhh
Yeah, I guess you’re right — I’d demand for him to give my money back, but he chose a good picture, so I’ll let it slide just this once. Maybe when I’m really twenty eight I can make use of the fact that I have two IDs. I could clone myself! [Weirdly, he felt a sense of relief spilling his entire story to this complete stranger. He had close friends in Beacon Falls, but perhaps the closeness was what had prevented him from telling them everything; he didn’t want them to feel like they weren’t good enough for him. He grinned as her cheeks became flushed, shaking his head.] I get you. Oh, trust me, I considered staying there — I was still considering it whilst climbing onto the plane. I can always go back there, I guess; that just kind of felt like my one ticket out of this place. I just feel like I would have never forgiven myself if something had happened to one of them whilst I was having the time of my life hugging koalas. Which, by the way, was amazing. I hope so. [He smiled, knowing that he’d made the right decision by returning. Listening to the girls story, Gabe nodded his head, wondering if his suspicions were correct. A near death experience and a sudden change usually went hand in hand with one particular thing, but he knew it wasn’t up to him to intrude on something so personal.] Wow, I’m sorry. I’m glad you’re okay, though. Is he still in town, or did he leave too? Leaving town to find yourself, boy do I know all about that — it never does seem to work though, does it? You were one of the girls that got kidnapped? I had no idea, I can’t imagine how awful that was for you. My friend Anna, she was there too — but you already knew that. You’ve been through a helluva lot for someone so tiny. [He said with a small smile.] It must’ve been really hard for you; especially coming back here to have things turn so horribly. That bastard is gone now, though — one down, one more to go. I just hope they find him soon, because I’m here until they do. [Realizing that he hadn’t introduced himself yet, Gabe sat up a little straighter as he gestured to himself.] I’m Gabe, by the way. Saracen, that is.
Clone yourself? How in the world would you do that just from an ID? [She exclaimed with a laugh and a quick shake of her head. So far she really liked talking to Gabe, even though she had no idea what his name was or what he was really like at the end of the day, but he seemed nice enough, and not to mention very attractive, so it compelled her to keep the conversation going despite him still being a stranger] No, I totally get it. I mean, if my brother still lived in town I’d probably do the same thing because we’re really close. Plus, I did pretty much come back for all my friends and they’re pretty much like family so it’s almost the same thing. I bet it was, though. I’ve always wanted to go. There and to New Zealand. I want to travel everywhere honestly [she smiled, tucking a stray strand of hair behind her ear] Thanks, but you don’t have to apologize. It’s fine. As far as I know he still is but I’m not sure. Like I said, we literally haven’t spoken. [she sighs and shakes her head] No, apparently not which is really disappointing because I really needed to. Maybe I’ll have better luck now that I’m back. [she nodded slowly and solemnly] Yeah, it was tough. [she replied quietly, her ears perking up when she heard Anna’s name] You know Anna? [she asked with a raised brow. She figured that if he knew one of her friends she should have known him too but she just couldn’t place him] Hey, sometimes it’s the tiny ones that are the most powerful and the one’s you have to watch out for. I’m way stronger than I look. No one believes me but it’s true I swear so don’t mess with me [she giggled, closing her eyes and scrunching up her nose as she did] Well, I’m glad to hear that because so am I [she smiled, extending her hand out to meet his] It’s nice to finally meet you, Gabe. I’m Ayla. Ayla Brown. And thank you for the drink by the way. I feel like I should buy you one now after laying all that shit on you like that.
@ayyyyla: Raise your hand if you have ever been personally victimized by George R.R. Martin and Game of Thrones.
[As he watched the girl in front of him begin to laugh, Gabe couldn’t help but join in, his head in his hands as he realised how stupid his ID really did look.] I got it when I was in my senior year, some guy on the lacrosse team told me that he knew a guy who made them look really legit. The bastard pretty much stole my money, didn’t he? [He laughed again, taking it back and sliding it back into his pocket, knowing that he was never going to be able to use it.] I think you have, this is the official haunt of the underage and the miserable — what more could you want? [He shrugged at her question, gesturing for the barman to bring them two more drinks.] They say the best person to tell is a stranger, don’t they? I guess I’m just coming down from a pretty big high. I left Beacon three months ago to go travelling; I’d been planning on it ever since I’d left high school, but I’d never had the balls to actually do it. I went to Australia — met some pretty great friends over there and… this girl. And then suddenly, everything fucks up here. I mean, a serial killer? And some freak storm, which was not natural, no matter what anybody says. [He paused for a second, realising that he didn’t know whether or not she knew about the supernatural.] But yeah, my sisters are here — one of them is only fifteen, so it’s not like I could stay in Australia and have the time of my life whilst they’re here, scared to open their windows on a night-time. Hence the pity party. But if you don’t mind me asking, what’s a girl like you in here for, anyway?
Pretty much, yeah. He hustled you pretty good.. sorry. At least the picture is cute, so there’s that. [Ayla said softly as she looked the man up and down. She nodded at his question, and leaned against the bar as she listened to him tell his story, occasionally sipping at the new drink he had ordered for her while he spoke] Ah, yes. I can definitely see why you’re in need of one. If I were you I’d probably do the same thing. I mean, I already am technically but I mean if I were for real in your situation. [she chuckled, her cheeks turning slightly red from embarrassment as she became flustered] But honestly, if I were you, I probably would have just stayed in Australia. It has to be better over there than it is here. Beacon has a lot going on... and the storm was almost like icing on the cake. I mean, it could have been worse but still. It was pretty bad. But no... no it probably wasn’t. [she paused for a moment when thinking about the serial killer and then just ended up nodding] But yeah... I can see how it’d be hard leaving your sisters behind. I’m sure they’re really happy you’re back [she smiled, placing her glass back down on the bar] Oh Lord. Where do I even start [she chuckled, tracing some of her fingers along the glass] Well, a little over three months ago I got into a really bad car accident and almost died. Somehow I was able to recover but I haven’t exactly... been the same since? Like, I just don’t feel like my old self [she explained, trying to choose her words carefully] I ended up breaking things off with my boyfriend of a little over a year because of it and I haven’t spoken to him since. I left town to try to find myself but that didn’t work. Then within a week and a half of coming home some of my friends and I got kidnapped. [she paused for a moment to take a breath] I mean, we’re all fine for the most part. It was just really mostly emotionally scarring for the most part, minus a few bruises and bumps here and there and a mark he left on all of us. It’s just been a lot going on, really. [she realized that she probably sounded extremely nonchalant and emotionless about the whole thing, but that was just her personality now]
[Taking another sip of his beer, Gabe laughed as she slid her ID over, pretending to check it out before raising his eyebrows in an act of impressiveness.] Wow, I apologise — you’re most definitely almost twenty two, this ID is totally legit. [He chuckled, sliding his own out of his pocket and handing it over to her.] Just like I’m almost twenty eight. That’s the true reason I’m scared of showing people my ID, they usually just burst out laughing. [He told her with a grin, letting out a laugh at her reply.] I knew it, that’s the true reason that everybody comes here. I don’t think there’s an of-age person in this place. Me? Well, I thought what better place to throw a pity party than a practically empty bar, right? The no-ID thing definitely helps, though.
[Ayla picked up the ID he slid over to her, and though she knew it was rude to laugh, she couldn’t help it] It’s because you went way too high. No one in the world is ever going to believe you’re twenty-eight. I mean, you could maybe, and I say maybe, pass for twenty-four but I think even that would be a stretch. You should ask for your money back because it won’t do you any good if you did show it. [She smiled as she slid the ID back to him and fully turned her body around to face him] You know, I hadn’t actually noticed that but I think you’re right. I’ve only been here a couple of times. Obviously I’ve been missing out. [She let out another laugh and quickly nodded] You’re absolutely right about that one. [She paused for a moment before smiling again] But what’s a nice guy like you doing in here throwing a pity party for himself anyways? Not that I’m trying to pry or anything but I’ve been told I’m a pretty good listener. Plus, no one knows how to throw a pity party for themselves like I do, so. Maybe I could be of some assistance.
[Gabe sits at the bar by himself, aware that he must’ve looked as pathetic as he felt in that moment, accepting another beer from the bartender that had been kind enough not to even ask for his ID. Drinking quickly from the glass, he wiped his mouth and turned to his right, where a smaller girl was sitting, looking pretty much as lonely as he felt.] You throwing a pity party as well? [He asked her, a smirk tugging at the corners of his mouth.] Or do you just like to take advantage of the fact that the bartender is too nice to ask for ID, even though both of us have baby faces?
ayla-brown
[Ayla had been in desperate need of a distraction of sorts, and she couldn’t think of a better one than by going to the bar and getting her drink on; which was something she rarely did but considering how she had been feeling the past couple days, she figured it was acceptable. She had just downed her second drink when she heard the voice of someone next to her. Until then, she was completely unaware someone was even sitting there. She looked over her shoulder and gave the man a small smile] What gave it away? [she asked with a small chuckle] I don’t know what you’re talking about, seeing as how my ID clearly states that I’m 21 turning 22 in a couple months [she smirked, taking her fake ID out of her back pocket and sliding it across the bar towards Gabe] Alright, fine. You caught me. It’s definitely one of the biggest perks of this place. [she admitted with a small laugh once she saw the look on his face] Why? Is that why you’re here too? Or is it mainly because of the pity party thing?
~whispers come plot with me while i avoid my hw due tonight~
@ayyyyla: I hate Sundays.
“Oh um sorry, I wasn’t paying too much attention… I was kind of just looking around, trying to take things in..”
“Don’t worry about it... it’s fine. You new here or something?”
I could swear this is the fifth time this week of fixing this thing… My dog really knows how to demolish everything in his path, but hey sometimes I get that way too. — You don’t happen to know where I could find a new one, do you?
At least you can really use the “dog ate my stick” excuse and it’s the truth. There’s a sport shop down the street and I mean, I would assume they’d have lacrosse sticks and other gear but I’m really not sure... sorry. It might be worth checking out though.
