It’s done! The commission for a Patron — an illustration for the Pokémon fangame Ashen Frost (which I admittedly know nothing about 😅). So I really hope I did both characters justice... It was a bit of a challenge, but also a fun one :3

you will keep making art your entire existence and beyond, because the creation of art is not something you have a choice about participating in. you will off-gas and exude art just by existing. it will roll off of you like smoke, it will saturate your whole existence, it will be something you have no choice in. it will make the people around you and who know you and ever interact with your existence feel any infinite number of ways. the purpose of art is not to make people happy. art has no purpose. that is like asking what the purpose of "air" is. fundamentally fucking juvenile understanding of what art is or what it should be good for.

sometimes the art you make will hurt people. sometimes that's the purpose of the art. sometimes (most of the time) you will make art uncontrollably, and you will have no say in the matter. art will Happen to you. it will Erupt from you like tongues of fire. there is nothing you can do about it. behold, the beauty and horror of existence -- that everything you do is pregnant with meaning and symbolism and communication and impact, and that this is a process that can never be halted, even briefly. make peace with this now or die -- and even then, that will not stop the process.
