Your Place
You were different and it was just a well known fact in the Quileute tribe. Not only were you a female shifter ,who couldn't seem to mentally connect to the tribe, but you had also imprinted on a vampire.
Sam had almost kicked you out of the pack for being so different, so weird. But your brother, Paul, convinced him to let you stay.
However, now you were under constant watch of the pack. If you did anything abnormal then you would be kicked out. You could never understand why. Leah was a shifter and yet she never had that put against her. Then again she handn't imprinted on their worst enemy.
Some of you believed it was because Sam and her had history. It just made you envious. She was allowed to run with the pack. She was allowed to playfully nip Seth's ears and not get told off for it. She was allowed to get angry and shift. She was allowed to go to meetings with the Cullens, but you were completely isolated.
Even in dire situations like Victoria, you were never allowed to go. It infuriated you that they were willing to go this far to keep you away from Rosalie. So in a moment of pent up anger, you followed them.
Miraculously they didn't seem to know you were there. Strength was their game, but stealth had always been yours.
You watched from behind trees as the Cullens talked to them through Edwards mind link.
You rolled your eyes, even Edward could do it.
You saw a glimpse of light blonde hair, but from where you stood she was obscurred by bushes.
Your lean wolf form leaned forward, happy with the new view. However, the new angle had you falling forward, your paws snapping a pile of twigs on the ground.
Everyone turned to look at you and you froze.
Your eyes rose to Rosalie's and she had a miniscule smile etched onto her face. It had been a while since you last saw eachother. You had begun to feel the pain a hollowness but just seeing her made it feel so much better. You wanted to shift right there, run to her naked and just kiss her. You wanted to be in her arms again. You wanted to go out shopping with her like last time, before the tribe had figured out you imprinted. You wanted to go to the Cullen's house and laugh when Rosalie playfully complained about the smell. Eventhough she couldn't even smell you anymore. In those few moment you let yourself go to her without telling the pack you felt normal. You were just Y/N L/N.
Suddenly, Sam was on you, his teeth piercing your pelt. A deep sound vibrated in his throat, probably trying to communicate with you.
Paul immediately growled, his eyes seemed to dare Sam to go any further.
The Cold Ones were more vocal about it, however, surprising you greatly.
"Sam," Dr Cullen called. "She has done no harm, let her go. She can help with Victoria,"
Sam growled back.
"She disobeyed his rule and many more before that, she needs punishment," Edward stated, looking at the doctor.
Rosalie scoffed, but you noticed the small waver in her expression.
"You mangy mutt, it's you who have broken one of those doggy rules for sure. You've kept her from her imprint! Me! If i could I'd of ripped your throat out by now," she spat, taking a step forward.
The wolves all growled and barked at her. Sam was suddenly off her and stalking to Rosalie, who was now behind the patriarch of the family.
You sat there and watched as the growling continued.
Edward was translating it all but you couldn't move or even listen. The Cold Ones defended you. They believed you could help. Whereas the pack seemed to only think of you as different.
Before you realised, you were off the floor, your body inbetween the cold ones and the pack.
Sam growled and to everyones surprise, you growled back.
And while you were angry, you were not stupid. You had no chance of taking on this big mass of wolf. He towered over you. So instead, without taking your eyes off him, you moved back, feeling the river soak your paws, it came high up to you legs. But you refused to take your eyes off him until you were completely away from the shifter's side of the boarder.
When you made it to the other side, Edward relayed to you the alpha's thoughts.
"He's banished you,"
You could only nod your wolfy head. Watching as Sam hissed and growled before running into the forest, the pack following after.
A Cold hand came to rest on your head and give a scratch. Rosalie laughed when your leg reluctantly began hitting the floor.
"Come on, Y/N. Let's get you cleaned up,"
You followed them to the house and waited outside as Rosalie fetched you some clothes.
Once you had them on you entered the house, being engulfed in large hug and dragged upstairs.
"I've missed you." Rosalie huffed. Burying her head in your hair.
"Me too."
You looked at eachother, your eyes seem to sparkly a beautiful gold as you looked at the blonde. Your heart swelled when she leaned in and kissed you, her hands circling your waist.
You knew then that you would always be with her. Your place was here, not with the pack.
