As the creator claims, the purpose of this project is to make device CLEANER, FASTER, SMOOTHER & FRIENDLY.

No apk required and thus do not consumes your memory and power. All you need is a rooted phone.

To install:

Download the latest zip file from XDA, and use CWM installer (recommended); OR

Extract the zip and locate the hosts file, use Root Explorer, backup the original /system/etc/hosts file, and replace it by the file from your zip. Reminded that to set the permission to root:root and 644.

Restart your phone and test if the MOD is working.

Vega Secret Note | How to enable Developer Mode?

Go to "Settings" > "About phone"

Press "Build number" for at least 7 times

Then "Developer options" appears in "Settings" menu

It should also apply for some model of Android.

Vega Secret Note | How to root your KitKat (4.4) A890?

Simply follow these steps to give your Secret Note root access:

Preparations:

Under your Windows box, install FASTboot drivers for your A890

Download 32-bit driver Download 64-bit driver

Download and unzip the TWRP recovery file

A890S, A890K or A890L

Download SuperSU-v1.3 and put it under your SD card of your phone

Getting rooted:

Power off your phone

Press "Vol-", "Vol+" and "Power" simultaneously to enter bootloader

Press "Vol-/Vol+" button to highlight "Fastboot", click "Power" button toselect

In your TWRP extractions, double click "RunFastboot.bat" to flash the recovery temporary to your phone

Once your phone have booted into TWRP recovery, click "Install" and select "UPDATE-SuperSU-v1.93.zip" from your SD card location

Reboot your phone after successful install

Vega Secret Note | How to get rid of the "Data Network" dialog at each startup?

Setting > More networks

Enable "Airplane mode"

Back to previous menu

Go to More networks again

Disable "Airplane mode"

Then you can see the option "Data network setting" is undimmed

Click it and disable the option "Ask at power-on"

Network Manager disappeared from LMDE after Update Pack 8

After LMDE got upgraded to UP8, in mate, you should notice the Network Manager icon does not appear in your Notification Area.

The reason behind is that your LMDE reset this file:

/etc/dbus-1/system.d/org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.conf 

To fix it, try backing up the file and do a global replace of the string "deny" to "allow" in the file.

> cd /etc/dbus-1/system.d > sudo cp org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.conf org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.conf.backup > sudo vi org.freedesktop.NetworkManager.conf

Command %s/deny/allow replaces all occurrence. Save and restart LMDE.

Used my LG Vu 2 (F200S) for almost one and a half year, though it still works flawlessly, I decided to give Vega Secret Note a try.

Just got it updated to KitKat (4.4), with an Antutu score of 33608...pretty good score right.
