@b1ttens / 𝐀𝐍𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐄𝐃 : the shifter lets out a noise akin to a purr, nuzzling into the warmth of their mate as saphira takes up the majority of their bed. ❝ don't leave. ❞ it murmurs, clinging tighter and impossibly closer to the other dragon shifter. saphira lifts his head, eyes of ice staring into green while his hair hangs down in his face. ❝ you promised not to leave. ❞
unprompted .
a slight shift, the rays of sun poking through an offending presence that needs to be dealt with. that's all it was. but movement is punished with words that send distress signals through frozen body. arms that once were loose tightened, and one would swear it looked as if toothless wanted to engulf saphira with his ribcage. leaving would never be a thought passing through. emeralds shun back at the mate in their arms, and how could he ever cause such ideas to bubble to the surface. ❝ i'm not leaving. ❞ firmly, never him, and now, perhaps never these covers. but light catches eye again, and a mixture of a whine and growl escaped the dragon shifter. rude. body shifted once more, but only to bury his head into the crook of his mate's shoulder to escape the torturous sunlight of the morning.
⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀panic sits heavy on the blonde's chest, sharp nails trying to find purchase on the other dragonborn's arms — like saphira wanted to crawl into his skin and hide away from whatever waited outside their bedroom. ❝ i - i just thought . . . i thought you were. ❞ i thought you were leaving me, is what remains unsaid as saphira visibly relaxes in toothless' arms.
⠀ ⠀⠀ ⠀if he weren't so lethargic, maybe saphira would get up to close the blinds and allow them to rest longer without the harsh rays of light bombarding them. but alas, the last thing the dragonborn can think of doing is pulling himself out of the den they've made. turning his head to nuzzle into the mop of black hair atop the night fury's head, another content purr is pulled from saphira's throat.
me and love singlehandedly making the funniest pair of husbands with light fury and night fury that's basically that one clip of the comedian being like "as an audience can you tell the difference between a male and a female penguin. no, neither can most male penguins" like it wasn't until they were both in their human forms that they were like oh..... oh i see....

there will always be a bond between himself and his wolves , whether voluntary or not . and it is that bond that does not alert the alpha to danger when a wolf of his pack decides to bother his nap : and instead , arms wrap tightly around augustine , leg swung over the others’ . their manager would have a hard time waking him up now , with the comfort of having his pack mate in his arms . safe and protected , a euphoric kind of peace .
he’s been sent as collateral to wake up their singer, and yet august can’t actually find it in himself to do anything of the sort — much to the other member’s dismay, augustine ends up folding himself over the other wolf curled up on the couch instead of actively trying to wake him up, joining him in a moment of peace. his mind is quieted, a fuzzy haze settling over his brain as he relaxes in howl’s grip. he’s warm and familiar, a sturdy weight against augustine’s body. it’d be so easy to fall asleep as well. ❝ howl... we have to get up. they need us on stage in FIVE. ❞
