My opinion

Like truly you’re not obligated to make black sims, no one is. But for the sake of humanity stop slapping the label on sims that look and appear 50 shades of white. Better yet let’s stop throwing random ethnicities into the mix to make black sims so ~*exotic*~ I mean really what is so difficult or bad about being just black. It’s really concerning to see black simmers have this unconscious internalized colorism. The amount of “black” sims I see is getting to be too much I feel like I’m experiencing what tv is doing: white washing everything.

Only time I think its acceptable is when they have obviously black features like flared nostrils or a flat nose bridge, large and defined lips or ‘kinky/curly’ hair, and even then its borderline cause anyone can have those features nowadays. Also, if a character has vitiligo then that’s cool too. Although, I have seen a lot of different kinds of people that are black and barely look it or don’t look it at all so we gotta watch what we say xD

Honestly the problem isn’t that they don’t look black. The problem is that no one wants to be “just black”. People out here acting like black people didn’t produce some of the greatest people of all time.

Exactly. Most of us have so much variation on features, hair type and skin tones within our own families. So anyone who wanna step to me and say I’m bitter because their sim is fair-skinned needs to come up with something new. NEXT!
