Just a daily reminder to tell you, you’re not doing as bad as you think you are.
keep going (via a-thousand-shining-stars)
You learn a lot when you go to college. You learn that pulling an all-nighter means staying up all night to study for a test you will then sleep through. You learn to appreciate the taste of beer- the cheapest of all alcoholic beverages. You learn that you can roll out of bed 10 minutes before class and go to class looking like shit-and no one will notice or care. You learn you really can do things for yourself without your parents looking over your shoulder—but you also learn you never realized how nice it was to have them there, just in case. More than anything, however, you learn how much your friends really mean to you. College friends come to mean a lot to you, but they can never compare to your friends from home. Your friends from home teach you the meaning of friendship during your college years. Because you are apart from them you tend to express your feelings more —- you learn how much these people truly affect your life.

You have to be willing to move out of your comfort zone at times if you want to experience life in a new way.

But I believe good things happen every day. I believe good things happen even when bad things happen. And I believe on a happy day like today, we can still feel a little sad. And that’s life, isn’t it?

I’m not searching for my other half because I’m not a half.
Realizing this is one of the things that made the biggest difference in my life, not just in my relationships. (via panteghast)
You’re never going to be 100% ready and it’s never going to be just the right time, but that’s the point. It means that every moment is also the right moment. If you want it, you just have to do it.

Do not settle for the first person who buys you dinner or for the person who says you look pretty, do not settle for the one who does not share your dreams but laughs at your jokes. Do not settle for attraction without depth, or good conversation with no intent to stay. Do not settle for charm when they do not value what you value, do not settle for convenience without love. Do not settle for a candle when you were taught to love the sun, do not settle because of time when you know that love is patient. Do not settle, please do not settle because there is someone out there who refuses to settle, and you are worth so much more than convenience and ease, you are worth a heart that fights for you.
T.B. LaBerge // Do Not Settle (via marcphun)
Remember how far you’ve come, not just how far you have to go. You are not where you want to be, but neither are you where you used to be.

Prayer is the most calming thing in the whole world no matter what situation you’re in.
I guess it’s time to admit that I am emotionally broken. Not the love related kind of brokenness though, it’s much more than that. It’s the kind which makes me feel small and worthless because I failed a subject which eventually led me to being one year delayed. It’s the kind of frustration & disappointment for not hitting veins for graded practicals twice in a row. It’s the kind which makes me feel hurt thinking that my batchmates are already aiming for internship and I’m here, thinking on what lies ahead of me, unsure of what will happen next. It’s the kind which makes me feel lonely because I haven’t gotten myself new friends, clinging to the thought that my old ones will still hang around but apparently we’re slowly losing bond, time & drifting. It’s the kind which makes me think that I’m all alone in this battle. It’s the kind wherein I’m questioning… why do the people who’re so close to my heart live miles away? It’s the kind where I start to become jealous of people who’re having life and studies all easy, thinking it’s unfair & I deserve that kind, too. I’m broken. And I haven’t admitted it to myself not until now that I’m feeling so heavy.
I need somebody to hug me & tell me that it’s okay, that I’m not a failure, that he/she still believes in what I can do, that I can prove everyone wrong.
