Babs had been so busy reading the news that she hadn’t heard a word Phil had said.
“Wait, what?”
@shieldagentcoulson
"Do you wearing padding in your suit?" Phil asked figuring he might as well go straight to asking his question. "For any reason, comfort, protection, to look bigger, to disguise your body shape..."
Red Hood actually cocked his head to the side at the question trying to figure this guy out.
“What’s it to you what’s under my suit?”
"I'm writing a book on supervillians and superheroes and what goes into becoming one or the other," Phil explained. "Which doesn't really relate to my question beyond why I'm here in Gotham to wonder about the technology involved in fighting crime this way."
“So you’re looking for trade secrets, huh?” Hood asked bluntly.
"If you're willing to share them," Phil replied, not offended at all. "I am not here to create something that would be a threat to you and your ability to protect the people here."
“Why write about this at all?”
"I am not the only one curious about these things. And I have personal reasons that I prefer not to go into here."
“I see. Well, the answer to your question is- it varies. Suit to suit, person to person.”
"Makes sense. Have you noticed something similar with supervillians?"
“Sort of. In those that wear more than street clothes.”
