I appreciate what you're saying about fans not liking Trump but I have to disagree. I think some of us, many on here, don't like or agree with him. But in general, a LOT of sports fans, especially baseball and football, support Trump and are racists. Have you seen the comments on players' Insta posts about BLM? The ones who keep them on have Trump lovers ALL OVER. It's awful. And I think even owners and certain platers support Trump, despite what they're saying.

I mean when I think about it like that you're right. I speak mostly from the perspective of where I live and what I've been around but I definitely have seen all that stuff online which is always pretty messed up. I've even seem some people say that they wanna like stop watching baseball altogether because of the BLM stuff which is pretty excessive and dramatic lol. And yeah there's definitely people in the league that do support him, I think when I read the articles about it it said Trump is a friend of the president of the Yankees and I feel like as a player it must really suck to know that you're own teammates and employers (and fans) might not actually be on your side. I've also seen a lot of people on the MLB insta talking about how they "shouldn't bring politics into sports" but are totally ok with bringing a literal political leader to throw the first pitch so I feel like things are really gonna be a mess for a while tbh. I know here in the Bronx a lot of people are pretty upset about it. But you're right there's definitely a lot of people from all over that are very much in favor or it which really sucks.

Is Trump really going to throw the first pitch? I was hoping he was just saying that because he was bitter about Fauci doing it. How can the MLB say Black Lives Matter and say as a league it's goal is to fight injustice and then invite TRUMP to throw the first pitch? Especially in NY?

I read a few articles that basically just said that he said it so I'm not 100% sure but it seems to me like it's most likely gonna happen. And that's exactly what I'm saying. It's like you know who's on your team and in your fan base and you still bring him around. I feel like yankee stadium and the yankees in general are a real community staple here so it just feels so like wrong to essentially bring Trump into the community like that knowing that the people of the community are against it and he is against us. And he makes such a big thing about kneeling during the anthem too. Like part of me obviously doesn't want him here because like I said, the community (myself included) just doesn't stand with the Trump administration at all and it's like a huge slap in the face for them to bring him to the Bronx when you know he wouldn't even dare to step foot here for anything else and you know all the shit that he's said and done. But I also secretly want him there just in hopes that all the players do kneel and make him mad and embarrass him. And he's like happy there's no crowd but if there was it wouldn't end well 😬

Um just found out that Trump is gonna throw the first pitch at a yankee game next month and as someone who lives in the bronx and definitely fits into a good chunk of the demographic that him and his supporters hate or at the very least disregard, just wanna say, fuck off. We definitely do not want that man here.

LOVE that. I agree, it's very endearing and shows a type of camaraderie. I wonder if he's like that on the regular or if he boosted it because he was mic'd. Either way. I just adore the guy. And I agree! From what I've read that's the only area he lacks in. Even consistency some sports writers say is due to him being moved back and forth. Hopefully the longer time training has been spent working on hitting and keeping everything else up to par.

I feel like he's just like that in general lol. And tbh that makes a lot of sense. I feel like they're gonna be putting him in a lot more so I have a really good feeling about this year for him.

So annoying. Such a goof. With a surprisingly decent Spanish accent from what I can tell? Ahh yes you are so right. Hopefully that's a factor that keeps him here. And hopefully all the time leading up to now he's improved his hitting and can stay consistent enough to earn the fulltime spot for good! It's about time.

The accent makes me laugh. I'm Hispanic so I always find it so like goofy and endearing when the white players who clearly can't speak spanish that well still try to because of their teammates. My personal favorite from all that is "mucho hits" and "mucho flow". And I'm also hoping he fixed his batting because I feel like that's where he lacks. So I hope he gets "mucho hits" so he can stay lmao

PLEASE talk about Tyler Wade all you want. I'm so happy he made opening day roster. I hope even when the injured players get better he still has a spot. This "season" has to be his! I am also loving his hair right now. Long, short... it all works for him.

I'm glad you brought it up because I JUST finished watching the video of him micd up and he's so annoying I love him. But genuinely I'm excited to see how he grows this season I have a really good feeling about it too. I've really been following him since his debut and it's definitely been a roller coaster with him constantly being sent back and forth between here and the minors, but now that there are no minors league teams playing maye that'll work in his favor since it's not like they can just send him down lol. But I feel like he'll pop up a lot as a really solid utility player (which I dont care where they put him just wanna see him play lol) and gotta admit I'm more of a fan of a clean cut but you're right, he makes it work, he's a real cutie.
