Chapter 20 — more domestic fluff and flirting

The third time Wade exploited his personal handyman privileges, Logan decided it would just save time to leave the toolbox entirely instead of having to haul the thing around every few days.
That did come with the risk of making himself obsolete, but knowing Wade, the risk was negligible. The man would do anything to get out of manual labor.
Logan’s eyes wandered along with that line of thought, up from the nail he’d just finished hammering back into place, past his calves — one bare, the other still covered in a ridiculous blue and red knee-high Spider-Man sock — to his red and white basketball shorts that ended too high up on his thighs to be decent.
“My hero. Too bad it wasn’t in time to save my poor socks. What am I supposed to do with an unmatching set?” He pouted, shaking his foot at Logan as if he had any doubt which sock he was talking about.
Logan sat up on his knees and reached for Wade’s leg, cradling his calf in his palm as he lifted his socked foot and carefully slid a claw from his heel to his toe.
Wade stared at him, a mixture of incredulity and arousal in his wide eyes.
He lifted his foot out of Logan’s grasp just enough to place his toes against Logan’s chest and push, hard enough to knock him back on his ass, unexpecting as he was. The breath left his lungs in a rush.
“Go ahead and finish taking it off now you started,” Wade ordered, crossing his arms and putting a little more pressure against Logan’s chest with the ball of his foot.
Logan licked his lips, mouth suddenly going dry.
He did as he was told, sliding his hands up the smooth material, past the muscular curve of his calf to just under his knee and hooked his thumbs beneath the top of his sock. He peeled the fabric down slowly, eyes never leaving Wade’s, as he stripped the ruined thing down past his heel and off his foot entirely, dropping it to the ground below.
“You’re replacing those,” Wade told him, a little breathless, his now bare foot slowly making its way back to the ground via Logan’s chest, coming to settle right between his legs.
“Sure,” he agreed, both of them knowing there was no way in hell he was buying Wade someone else’s memorabilia, especially not Spider-Man.
