Kate Argent will always be a mystery to me because I will never understand why she went through the trouble of:

-learning how to create Bezerkers

-making enough of them to over power Derek Hale while simultaneously protecting her from the Calaveras

-doing enough history research to find a specific Aztec temple that survived this long without turning into a capitalistic tourist hotspot

-bringing Derek’s unconscious body to central/southern Mexico from California fast enough that he is still unconscious and doesn’t escape??

-magically making him exactly young enough to remember her and still trust her (come on, this time frame couldn’t have lasted more than two months so her de-aging magic had to be specific)

-manipulating young Derek to let her into the Hale vault and hand over a family heirloom that he viewed as a very powerful artifact at the time

-learning how to use the heirloom to control her power

When in reality she could have like- meditated on a full moon or idk went to therapy to control her anger. Would have been way less time consuming.

sorry but i kind of i love survival stories where being in a life or death situation DOESN'T bring people closer together. i think it's hilarious when people continue to fight about their interpersonal issues while the world is literally burning down less than 5 feet away. i enjoy it when someone goes through unimaginable horrors and barely makes it out alive and the people they have beef with don't even try to pretend they don't wish otherwise.
