“Heh….”

The taller male only gave a smile. “My name is Brine. It was so long ago, but we spent a Valentine’s day afternoon together. It was pretty wonderful.”

It didn’t matter to him if she remembered him or not. They now had plenty of time to spend, all the more chances for her to finally notice him.

A look of confusion covered her delicate features as she gently patted down her apron. Did she upset him ?? She couldn’t tell. If she had, well-- that was hard for her to even say.

“B-Brine ?? A-Ahh !! Now I remember, we um... were together since I had nothing to give for people, right ?? Hmnn..”

She smiled at him and nodded, yes, she did sort of remember all of that-- he did make her smile. Hopefully they’d become better friends, now that she was back.

“C-Could it be?”

He had heard rumors of her moving, and with Brine’s rather small social circle, he couldn’t find out if they were true or not.

But when he started seeing her less and less, it seemed that it was all true.

It was really hard for him, honestly.

The one person he felt he was going to become good friends with had left. But Brine didn’t hate her for that, he only hoped she was happy.

Much to his surprise that, when he walked in one Wednesday morning, the last person he expected to see was in the hallway.

It was so different coming back to the school after taking her long break back to living in Ireland to take care of her younger siblings once more-- she didn’t really think too much of it at the time, but she still wondered if people did miss her as much as she missed some of them.

She also wondered if any of the people she recognized had graduated, or were still attending for their last years of high school. Hm, she was really worried about running into quite a few people as well-- but she wouldn’t put out names. That would be rude.

With a gentle hand, she brushed orange locks of hair away from her angel-kissed face and shyly looked up when someone said her name.

This person, as much as he was familiar to her, she couldn’t put an exact name on him.

“U-Um...W-What is your name ??”
