At last year's Pride game, I thought about how neat it would be if we could table at this year's game.

Well, we got invited, we tabled, we were honored at the pre-party and during the game, almost cranked the siren (before they lost it prior to the game), and got front row seats to Abby Fucking Roque's FUCKING MICHIGAN GOAL.

Also got to exchange info with a lot of Sirens fans about Princeton Pride and Defenders of the Right to Read, and if you were one of them, I look forward to chatting about additional ways we can piss off the government.

June so far:

- Establishing my library's first Pride Month; Setting up the rather large information & history display in the gallery

- Acquired six sponsors for Summer Enrichment INCLUDING THE CHOCOLATE SHOP

- Appointed to BRC's Defenders of the Right to Read Committee and finding out I'll be marching with Martha Fucking Hickson at Pride

- Offered a two-year appointment to one of ALA's Graphic Novel & Comics Round Table committees

- Chosen for NYCC pro passes

- Savanah Bananas at Fenway tomorrow

Writing this all here for posterity so I can fondly reminisce on the one instance in life when a whole week actually went well.

Plus! One of my kiddos pulled me over the other day to shove headphones on my ears so I could listen to music she was remixing with a coding program. She was so proud, and that's definitely the highlight of all of this.

I have to do a school visit to all of the 8th graders on Wednesday, so all of these positive vibes are likely coming to an end when I'm met with the dead eyed indifference of graduating 14 year olds.

To be fair, our conversations are often like taking a comparative cultures class, wherein you lecture about kpop and I lecture about hockey. And they will always somehow come back around to film analysis.
