Summary: Jack thinks you'll run away after a nasty nightmare, you prove him wrong
Warnings: Angst and Fluff rolled into one
A/N: I wrote a small oneshot with our boy being so tender! I hope you like it!
You took the kettle off as soon as it started to whistle, placing the kettle to the cold burner on the side and then retrieving the two mugs that were prepped and ready with two tea bags. Pouring one mug and then the next with pipping hot water, you set the kettle back on the stove to cool down as you took the two mugs and moved over to the bedroom door that was opened ajar. The soft glow from the bedroom stained the hallways floor, giving you a very small silhouette of a being that was inside. The shadow was hunched over, almost looking defeated before you could even go into the room. Taking a small moment, you inhaled softly and made sure you looked calm for the person inside your bedroom. Your eyes drifted over to your left arm, seeing the evident of the traumatic event that happened an hour earlier.
A bandage, wrapped around from your wrist to your elbow.Â
It started with a nightmare, not from you but from your partner and the love of your life: Jack Russell. You knew about Jack and his private life. it was one of the first things he confessed to you when you both first got together: How you life could be in the balance because of him and what he was capable of. That was never in your mind, nor did it make your away from him since he figured you would run for the hills. In fact, you stayed and loved him all the more, which made Jack open up to you ten fold. Perhaps you were crazy in staying with him, maybe insane. But you already knew deep down Jackâs soul and heart was beyond tender and sympathetic. There was not one bad bone in his body, not in how he treated you and made you feel like the luckiest woman in the world. But you also knew that being with Jack was not going to be like any other relationship you have been experienced in the past. Â
Safety was his main priority with you, and he was beyond serious about it.
You poked your head into the bedroom, seeing Jack hunched over in the middle of the bed with the blanket over his shoulders and his hands nestled in his lap, almost like he was holding something invisible with care and softness. His eyes were solemn, almost drained with bags under his orbs and his breath seemed labored and almost in pain as his shoulder were hunched and giving the assumption of defeat or grief. Â
It broke your heart to see him like this, and you wanted to make all that pain and that agony that you knew was festering inside of him: it was not like him at all. He made the room light up when you two were together, never once showing all that he had to endure when he was alone or with his lycanthropy. That was left in the shadows when you two were together, yet no matter how hard he tried to suppress it, it would slip out every once in awhile. The shift in his eyes, the small growl on his lips when a male was too close to you, and his quick reflexes tightened smell when you both were out and about. You got used to those small moments, thinking of them as mundane and nothing too serious. Yet tonight, Jack was torn from what he did.
Specifically, what he did to you.
âBaby?â You asked him, seeing him stay still on the bed as you walked into the bedroom, moving to sit in front of him on the bed and keeping your eyes on him the whole time. Your voice was remaining low and soothing, making sure not to having him spooked since he seemed more heightened in that moment. Jack still looked stiff, his eyes still in his lap with his own tangled fingers. Â
âI made you some tea,â You explained soothingly, placing your own tea mug on the nightstand to cradle his mug in your palms, âItâs Early Grey and itâs very calming for the nerves,â
You moved to take one of his hands, moving it to place the mug against his palm. Yet once his palm made contact with the mug, his eyes shifted instantly and his other hand moved within a fraction of a second, having you freeze up as his spare hand move up to touch the gauze and wrap on your arm. Watching his fingers dance along the cloth wrap on our arm, you saw the shift in his stare, the way his eyes soften then. Suddenly, you saw the glistening in his eyes and how they were getting wet.
âHey,â You said urgently, seeing the tears fall from his eyes onto his cheeks, then down onto your bandage as he was still holding onto you as if you were going to fly away from him. It made your panic, seeing him break down right in front of you over something in your mind was a complete accident, âJack, itâs okayââ
âN-no,â He blubbered, more tears were hitting his cheeks and falling to the ground. You could see it on his face, how he was inwardly breaking and punchier himself as he shook his head slowly and was gripping his mug a bit too tight, âI hurt you.â
That was far from the truth.
It was all from a nightmare he had. You woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and get a drink of water. But you were only gone for a few minutes at the latest, so when you walked back into the bedroom you were shocked to see Jack curled up in a tight ball on the bed under the sheets. Whimpering was heard from his lips, his hands were clutched so tight that it looked like he would break skin. A thin sheet of sweat was on his face and arms, his eyes were shut tight in such a violent manner it looked painful. This was scaring you, and you moved to place your glass of water on the bed and turn on one light on the nightstand to get a better look of his silhouette.
One minute you were trying to coax him and wake up carefully, the next minute he slashed your arm.
âYou were having a nightmare,â You reminded Jack gently, moving to wipe his tears away with your thumb as his eyes were still cast down in defeat, âThis was merely an accident and your nightmare was simply that: a nightmare. I am okay,â
âI made you bleed,â he blubbered out from his lips, âI never wanted toââ
âJack, look at me, baby,â you interrupted him, making him go instantly quiet and look at you with massive puppy dog eyes. The sincerity in his eyes, the pain and anguish that you knew was not Jack at all was clearly seen and made you hold his hand even more. Â
âI am okay,â You repeated, making sure those words were sinking into Jack as he was searching your eyes, âWe all have nightmares, and I know yours can get the best of you at times. But do you see me running from you right now?â
A moment of stillness was on the bed, Jack watching you now with the sadness out of his eyes and almost with a hint of shock from what you ask. It seemed a bit blunt to question him, but you had to find a way to get your point across. Your relationship withJack seemed worth fighting for and worth the work: Jack had those walls around him so high up that it would seem impossible to have it be stripped and bare. But you never saw it as a challenge, only as an opportunity to tear down those walls and see all of Jack. There was more to Jack than his fears and woes, more than what he deemed to be a âcurseâ. Every time you felt Jack was going to retreat from you, you held onto him tight and showed that you still loved him.
This was no different.
âNo,â He replied, making you smile since his voice was no longer hurting or showing any sadness. It was more of a realization. You leaned into him a bit more as you moved to cup his face with both of your hands, making sure his eyes were right on you and you alone.
âThe love we have is far deeper than a scratch, baby,â You explained, âI know what you are and what you are capable of. The good will always outweigh the bad, to me it will. I know you love me more than anything, and I love you just as much too. Nothing will ever make me run from you, Jack. Nothing, okay?â
It was as if he needed to hear it, the weight on his shoulders and near his neck was gone and his composure slumped. Jack melted into your hold, wrapping you in chi arms and hiding his face into your neck while you held him close to let him breathe. All his life he had to be hesitant on who he would let in and who he could love. You knew that, and yet you decided to say since you knew how much love he had to give. So being able to just let him hold you, keep you close after a nasty nightmare, it was enough for him to understand you loved him and care for him. Time slipped by, you not realizing how long you both were sitting together in the middle of the bed before Jack finally pulled away. You immediately reached over to get his mug and watch him take a few long drinks though the drink was now luke warm.
No matter how badly Jack was wanting to run, you were going to run after him.

âBritain? Come on, Rogers, seriously?â
You groan as you throw the file down on the kitchen counter. After several months of recovering from all of the shit with the Blip, Thanos, Tonyâs recovery, and catching up after being fucking dust for five years, you finally got to go back on missions.
And they send you to fucking. Britain. London, to be more specific.
âSteve, the food is absolute shit. They eat like theyâre still rationing their food for the war,â you rant. The man raises a brow at the mention of his past, but shrugs.
âItâs something easy to start you back up. We canât send you guns blazing into space.â He sets a yogurt bowl and some fruit in front of you. âEat your breakfast.â
You roll your eyes, thanking him as you grab the food. âThanks, grandpa.â You flip through the file. âWhoâs the mark?â
âNot a mark, a target,â Nat corrects.
You shrug. âSame thing.â
âHeâs some vigilante called Marc Spector,â she says without looking up from her phone. Sheâs texting Yelena, no doubt. Likely planning the younger girlâs visit. You havenât seen her since your own escape from the Red Room, but youâre more than thrilled to meet up.
The two of you had been inseparable, even with Dreykovâs strict rule. And now that Nat had gotten into contact with her again, it was only a matter of time before you got together to cause trouble.
And make mac and cheese. âLena made really good mac and cheese.
âHe used to be in the Army, but went AWOL and started working as a merc,â she continues. âSeems enhanced.â
Shoveling the yogurt into your mouth, you narrow your eyes. âSo is this, like, a âClint-style-recruitmentâ situation or a âbeat-his-assâ situation?â
Steve hesitates, considering the question. âUh, depends. Entirely up to you.â
âGreat, youâre very prepared.â You set the bowls in the sink. âSo, how long until I fly out?â
Youâre good at your job. Amazing, really. And you know it.
Of course you are. The Red Room didnât make second-bests, and youâd been cycled through three separate times. You and Yelena headed missions, racked up kills, and obliterated organizations with ease.
When Nat had destroyed the Red Room back in 2016 and Yelena, Alexei, and Melina had left to free the other widows, the redhead offered you a place with the Avengers. You werenât stupid, so youâd accepted.
Then youâd disappeared in Wakanda and woken up five years later.
This was very jarring (no shit), so the team had ordered a 3-month recovery for anyone who had been dusted.
No one else seemed very enthusiastic to get back to missions, but you were.
So, when you touch down in a bustling airport, you send the jet back to the compound, grab your ID, and sling your bag over your shoulder. TSA lets you by with ease, despite the absurd amount of weapons you have, and you work on blending in with the crowd until you can reach your rented motorcycle.
Your Russian accent makes it a bit hard, but you manage a convincing enough Cockney accent to slip under the radar.
Now to find the target. Your coordinates lead you to a small apartment building (you will NOT call them flats), and a fake enough smile and forged documents gets you a flat one floor above the target room.
Huffing as you unpack, you set out countless guns, knives, and weapons that would really suck to be killed by. A loud thump resonates from the floor.
You slip one gun into your waistband and a knife in your boot before listening closely. Annoyed British mumbling follows.
âOh, jeez, Iâve gotta clean up. This is such a messâŠâ
That doesnât sound like a mercenary. Maybe heâll surprise you, you suppose.
You sneak down the stairs, finding the correct apartment and raising your hand to the door. A quick but effective knock later, the door opens.
âUh, hi?â The guy is cute. A bit disheveled, but when you peer inside his home, you see no weapons, no signs of a violent hobby.
âHi,â you greet, bouncing on the balls of your feet. âMy name is (Y/N), I just moved into the apartment upstairs. Figured Iâd greet my new neighbors.â
He looks shocked. âOh, I didnât know we were getting any new residents. Itâs nice to meet you.â You notice that his accent seems a bit⊠off. âIâm sorry if Iâm not the most quiet neighbor. Iâve got a sleep disorder.â
You nod, noting his posture and how close he holds his hands to his body. He notices your silence and jumps.
âOh, God, Iâm sorry, Iâm Steven Grant. I work at the London Museum.â
Luckily, the team took enough precedence to give you a fake job. After explaining that you worked from home doing digital marketing, you exchange goodbyes and head back upstairs.
âĐŃ , ĐŽĐ”ŃŃĐŒĐŸ [Ah, shit],â you sigh, collapsing on the bed. Yes, youâre thrilled to be back in the game, but this?
This was a waiting game, not a hunt-down-a-target-and-snipe-them-from-the-roof kind of game.
Itâs a long month, even with Steven becoming your sort-of friend. Youâve scouted out his routine, polished your weapons, and even kept some muggers off his tail.
After visiting him at the museum, youâve discovered his passion for Egyptology. He knows more than the guides, but is confined to the souvenir shop by his asshole boss.
You offer to kill her, only half joking, and he declines. Itâs a shame.
But youâre starting to think heâs the wrong guy.
He lacks any basic survival skills, much less any fighting prowess. A dude held him at knifepoint and he gave him his wallet and phone. Luckily, youâd been just around the corner to grab the guy and knock him on his ass with little fuss.
âHoly shit, howâd you do that?â Steven had asked, gratefully taking back his things. The thief had booked it after youâd judo-flipped him and tugged his arm hard enough to dislocate.
âDo what?â youâd asked, watching him laugh.
He had waved a hand down the street. âBeat that guy up! You were flipping everywhere, and-â
It was your turn to laugh. âI did lots of martial arts as a kid. Good to know theyâre coming in handy.â
Itâs not a lie. Not really.
Despite Stevenâs apparent innocence, youâre still suspicious. Thereâs always noise in the apartment below you, and the door will open and slam shut at odd hours. When you inquire about it, your target/friend (itâs complicated) claims to have no idea.
Except heâs telling the truth. You know when someoneâs lying to you. Youâve never been wrong. And Steven isnât lying.
He really doesnât know anything about the sounds from his own flat.
One day, youâre sitting at your table with mac and cheese and polishing your favorite knife, when the door below you shuts. A voice comes up from the floorboards, like it does so often.
Instead of Stevenâs fishy British accent talking to himself about Egypt or his goldfish, something else comes up.
Thatâs a Chicago accent.
You shove a gun into the waistband of your sweatpants, hurrying down the stairs. Without hesitation, you pick the lock and kick open the door.
Clicking the safety off of your gun and gripping it with both hands, you step in the apartment.
âShit,â you whisper, real accent slipping through as you revert to your training.
You clear the main room of the apartment, methodical and precise.
A sound comes from the bathroom and you see the familiar figure. Hiding your gun, you sigh in relief.
You lean against the wall. âSorry, I thought someone else was in-â
The man whips around, clearly shocked youâre there. He grabs a knife.
Oh, shit.
When he lunges forward, you dodge, grab his wrist, elbow his shoulder to loosen his grip, and grab the tactical knife. With a flick of the wrist, you lodge it in the door you just picked.
âWho are you?â the man demands, readying his fists. He looks like Steven, but acts like the complete opposite.
His posture is confident, tall. He glares at you through the sweat and blood on his face.
âMy name is (Y/N), I know Steven?â The man sighs, annoyed.
âGreat. Fucking great, now thereâs a civilian involved.â You donât bother to correct him.
You wave your hands around. âWell, who are you? Why are you from Chicago?â
âWhy are you Russian?â
âI asked first!â
âFine, fine.â He raises his hands in surrender. âIâm Marc. Spector.â
Your target. The file scrolls through your mind. Ex-Marine, high ranking. Went AWOL and reportedly killed a whole team of archeologists and researchers. Born March 9, 1987. Not dusted. Suspected enhanced, unknown powers.

Jack had stoped in his tracks when his nose caught smell of something nearby. It was sweet and filled his lungs with a smoothness when he inhaled again.
It was coming from his bedroom. He wanders to the door and opens it to see you sitting on the armchair, curled up with a book as the rain falls down the window. He admires you for a moment, looking so comfortable and at peace in your own little world. Then he realizes the sweet smell is coming from over where you are.
Jack moves closer until heâs standing over you and youâre so caught up in your book that youâre startled when you feel his presence come up behind you. You look up at him frowning as he leans down to you.
âJack?â you say.
When he reaches you close enough that his nose is touching the top of your head he inhales. You were used to this especially the days following his transformation. The wolf would still linger in his human form after a full moon phase, and sometimes it would show. Like you would catch little things heâd do; scratching behind his ears in a dog like manner, or in this case smelling you like a scratch n sniff and being a needy and cuddly. You thought it was cute.
He continues to sniff through your hair frantically so you say his name again.
âDid you change your shampoo?â he asks.
âYes, why? do you not like it?â you shift in your seat to face him. If the smell bothered him too much due to his heightened senses or he didnât like it because of the scent then you would have to find some other type. He immediately sensed your uneasiness.
âNo, no, itâs lovely.â he expresses kneeling down to sit on his knees so he could meet your eye level. âI actually, really like it.â he confesses shyly.
You grin up at him the worry flowing away from you and giggle. Oh thank havens it doesnât bother him. âyou do?â He nods.
âItâs very nice, what is the scent I canât quite place it.â He tilts his head to place a kiss on your forehead but not before smelling your hairline again. You giggle again at the absurdity of all this.
âItâs lavender,â
You feel his lips hum against your skin in delight. Your book is long forgotten as you let Jack pamper you with kisses. It was a little strange having your boyfriend smell you, but it made him happy and calmed his inner wolf so it didnât matter to you.
âwait, there's something else,â he moves further down to your neck and moves your hair out of the way with a quick brush of his hand. His hot breath fans against the nape of your neck, and he inhales the fragrance there.
âIs it honey?â
âmhm, and oat.â you tell him.
âI apologize if this is strange mi queridaâŠâ he looks down awkwardly as he pulls back from your body. You knew Jack could be insecure about these things, after all it really wasnât his fault. it was just his way of remembering you as well. You reach your hand up to cup his cheek and persuade him to look back at you.
âIt isnât strange, I wouldnât be here If I couldnât handle you smelling me.â you assure. as you speak your hand drifts behind his head to pet his hair in a comforting manner. He relaxes. âI know you canât help the urges sometimes.â
He smiles at you affectionately and you can see his love for you in just a simple gaze and it makes your heart beat quicker.
âWhat did I do to deserve you my flor,â
Suddenly Jack is scooping you in his arms and carrying you bridle style all while youâre laughing. He lays you down into the covers on his bed and slides in next to you.
âMy Flower?â you lift an eyebrow when you both settle into bed.
âIt is fitting, no?â he pulls you closer to his chest. âbecause youâre like my own flower.â He sighs into your collarbone and you both lay there in bed enjoying each otherâs presence.

Summary - It was the wrong choice for the Mercenaries to use you as bait against Jack.
The very wrong choice.
Warnings - Just some fluff with a hint of angst mixed in!
"Alright, little lady, care to try again and tell us where your boyfriend is?"
The handkerchief was removed from your mouth, having you cough a bit and glare at the main Mercenary that knelt in front of you.
"I've told you the lest five times, I have no fucking idea. And if you keep asking me just for kicks, you're not gonna get shit from me!" You snarled, seeing him glare back at him as his other goons were watching from outside your little cage.
One minute you were walking home from your job at the library, ready to hop on the public bus and get back to your warm apartment. The next thing you knew, you were knocked out on the back of your head and ended up here, wherever this place was. Being placed in a medium sized cage with your hands tied was already confusing enough, but having at least 4 mercenaries surrounding you with guns drawn was even more disturbing.
Yet they didn't want you. They wanted your boyfriend, Jack Russell.
It was confusing as hell, since the last person you thought would ever be tangled with mercenaries, or any kind of crime in general, would be Jack Russell. You two met at the University, Jack being a adjust teacher in the History department with the Undergrads and you as a Graduate student in the Philosophy department. You thought of him as far too kind and sweet, always wishing to chat with you over coffee or walk you to your next class before he had to put in some hours at his office. Of course, things developed from a friendship to a small romance as you became a couple. Not it wasn't anything serious yet.
However, now you had questions about your boyfriend and his hobbies so to speak.
The one in front of you, stanching of stale alcohol and cigar, moved a bit closer now so that your noses were barely though, You couldn't move back since you were pressed hard against the iron bars, and your hands were tied in front of you with a zip tie, too tight to wiggle out.
"We know you're hiding him from us," He sneered at you, "No need to give us the upper anymore, luv,"
All you did was give him a hard head butt, hearing you yelp from the sudden impact of you slamming your forehead into his. He nearly stumbled back, the blooming pain on your head was evident. But it was nothing to the searing pain you got from him punching you hard in the jaw, having to collapse to the ground in a scream.
"You bitch!" He grumbled back at you as your felt a blood on your cheek and a bruise forming along your face. Of course it was s stupid thing to do, yet you are never one of being too rational. Maybe it was the dumbest move you could do since he did have a gun and was ready to shoot you then and there.
However, a growl was heard outside the room.
The other mercenaries looked over to the double doors, the only doors, that lead out. Your main attacker stood up and glared at the others.
"Go check it then!" He commanded, two of the mercenaries walking over to the door with their guns out at the ready. You were still recovering from the punch, yet you were watching with blinking eyes as one of the soldiers was about to open the door. Suddenly, before he could do it, the door open within a millisecond and something grabbed one soldier, pulling him through instantly and slamming the door shut.
The sounds of bones crushing and a blood curdling scream was heard behind the door.
"What in the hell?" The other soldier said out loud, standing back a bit as the two others and the leader were looking just as confused. The second soldier near the door slowly moved a bit closer, almost too afraid himself after what he saw. You were too, never hearing that kind of scream before, before nor the sound of crushing bones. It felt too raw and too real, almost against your own skin.
The door swung open again, hitting the other soldier and having him laugh high into the air to slam into the wall behind you. He was unconscious, which lead to a series of screams and gunshots being heard. You couldn't help but slam yours eyes shut and duck you head, the intense sounds of flesh being ripped off and gunfire all over the place was too much for you. Through the chaos that was heard in the small room, bouncing off the walls, you heard a third sound that seemed....primeval.
And animal?
It seemed all too overstimulated for you, the sounds of the mercenaries screaming and dying, the scraping of metal and bones, and some kind of beast growling and roaring not too far away. Maybe this was some kind of sick nightmare, being overworked at the university with your studies and at your job made you delirious and how you were having these sick dream. But it felt so real, your cage shaking from time to time from something falling on it or shifting it to the side. Yet you had no courage to wake up or open your eyes, you were too afraid too.
Finally, after a few minutes of whatever was happening in front of you, silence was in the room. The only sounds that was present was your whimpering and shaky breaths and heavy boots going over your way. Hands were placed on your arms, gentle and soothing hands as you shook and cried out.
You knew that voice, though it sounded frantic and yet soothing. Your eyed opened up, seeing the very person you never thought you would see here stare at you with worried eyes.
Jack.
"J-Jack?" You whimpered, looking at him up and down and making sure it was him. You froze, seeing blood on his arm and hands, some tear in his clothes, and he looked rather flushed. Your eyes moved for him to what was behind him, eyes going wide and your heart stopping.
Bodies, bloodied and lifeless, all around the room. The bodies of the mercenaries.
"Look at me," Jack said to you gently, your eyes going back to him as he searched your worried orbs. It was surreal how calm he was, give that he had blood literally on his hands. He sighed, looking down for a brief moment as if he was overcome with sadness.
"I have something I need to tell you, sweetheart.
"It's a lot, I know,"
"I'll say,"
Jack grimaced as he placed the ice pack right back on your jaw, you shivering a bit from the contact as he looked downcast.
"This is all my fault," He reasoned, you watching him as he got up to throw away from the ointment that was finished being used on your cheek and washing the bloody hand towel he used to clean you.
He took you back to his flat, whisking you away before the police would arrive and see the bloody scene. As soon as you got back to his flat and Jack helped change you in some of his spare pajamas, only to how out your damaged ones, he sat you down on his bed to mend you, telling you something about him that seemed so out of the ordinary.
Jack was a werewolf.
Of course you were denying it at first, it would be the rational thing to do since you always knew werewolves never existed. Yet, the way he told you, the softness in his tone and the sincerity stare in his eyes, he wasn't lying to you. Jack would never lie, he never has since you two started dated and even before that when you were were just friend.
And he killed all of those soldiers and mercenaries that were holding you hostage. That was another thing that struck you as odd: Jack being a killer. He would never do that at all, it was not like him. But then again, a werewolf would make the carnage.
"I never should have lied to you about who I was when we first met, or even...even got close to you," Jack admitted in worry as he was cleaning the towel in the sink of the bathroom next to his bedroom, You got up from your bed, still nursing the icepack on your wound as you walked over to stand behind him. Jack looked defeated, almost torn himself.
"Jack, if it's all the same to you, it could be worse," You said in a shrug, Jack, looking at you with a hint of shock through the reflection of the mirror in front of him before he whirled around and stared at you.
"How can it be worse?" He asked you in a huff, "You nearly died because of me!"
"I'm still alive because of you," You countered back, Jack's mouth going shut as you walked up to him in the bathroom, "Those men were about to kill me, but you stopped them before they could,"
"You were bait!" Jack said in a low manner, grimacing from the thought of you being used against him, "Those men have been after me for years and they haven't been able to locate me, until they found out we....we were together,"
Once again he hung his head, hiding his face in his hands to almost shield himself away from you. It was then you felt the twinge of pain that he had from hiding this from you, from showing his side of you that maybe he tried to bury for so long. Even with the insane news of who he was and what he would become, what he could do, you still saw him as Jack. The Jack you grew close to, the Jack that you admired.
The Jack you loved.
"I am alive and here, standing here, because of you, okay?" You asked him calmly, reaching up with your spare hand to take down his hands from hiding his face from you, "This is all....bizarre to say the least. But I owe you my life. I would not be here if it wasn't for you, Jack,"
Jack watched your eyes, seeing that you weren't showing any signs of fear or distaste in him. Maybe he was thinking you were going to run away, out of the door and out of his life. He reached over to take your ice pack from your bruise that was till blossoming along your skin. His fingers touched the bruise, but you never wince from the contact.
"If I would have known that you were to be harmed by simply being with me," Jack paused, you still staring at him as his shoulder slumped a bit, "I would still....still be in love with you,"
"Jack.." You sighed, almost in a broken tone.
"I tried to fight what I felt about you, but I couldn't," Jack explained, "And you've already seen far more of me than I thought I would eve share with you. So...this is really awkward cause I know I told you I wasnât looking for love, but then I kinda fell in love and I would love it if youâd take me,"
You took the hand on your jaw to lace it in your fingers, never breaking your eye contact with him.
"I'm here, and yours to have," You replied. Jack leaned forward to hold you close in his arms, cradling you close by a precious gem for him to have and him alone. You were, and with your mind still reeling with what you saw hours before and what Jack has shown you, you were willing to go the extra miles for the very person who saved your life.
