I've been meaning to ask this since your post about Dove's younger siblings, specifically the part where Teach and Laffitte are telling Dove they're having a baby, where Dove responds with, "In your age?", and that made me wonder:

How old did Dove assume Teach and his crew were when they first met them? I imagine some of their guesses were off...

Like many fans guesses were when we found out Doc Q was only 26 when he debuted in the manga. There are old fics from before his age was revealed that referred to him as an old man! XD

If only someone had thought to ask for the Blackbeard Pirates' ages in the SBS back in those days...

Dove knew how old Teach was from their short time on the Moby Dick with Ace, but still calls him an old man because, well… Its funny…

Dove doesn't have a hard time guessing their ages, its easy to tell by the way they walk, the way their knees creak, the wrinkles, or the way their blood tastes. They already knew Kuzan’s age and guessed half of them were either younger or around his age too.

But Dove has a lot going through their head and sometimes forget their own age with how much time they lost themselves…

Idea of the chill, nice, cool random archaeologist from my friend... Talking abt modern au, this guy would 100% be a giant nerd, constantly buried in geology and history papers, then disappearing all year round just to crawl into some random cave and play with dirt and rocks all day...

It feels like if he were to become a university professor, he would take his students into some unknown and mysterious cave. They would all come back covered in dust but still laughing heartily. Maybe unexpectedly, there would be like-minded companions who could join in 😌 imagined him dragging all his buddies along with him and refusing to let them leave until he finds something bumbalabum 😭
