This is blog dedicated to the wonderful world of mischievous, goofy, lovable, sweet, daredevilish, and sometimes naughty ferrets. No matter how "bad" these little fuzzballs can get (dragging grandmas crutches up the stairs by the rubber end - or at least trying to!) it only seems to make us laugh harder and love them even more. Oh, the irony of ferrets misbehavin'. Forget reprimanding - if they really want something, they'll get it (or into it). Just smile, laugh, and make sure they at least stay out of harms way (i.e.: the dishwasher, open window, a floor drain, etc.). Everything found on this here blog is ferret-related and celebrating the good moments we have all had with them. We love ferrets here. All and any kind of ferret hatred is and will not be tolerated in any form. Ferrets are awesome but they aren't always ideal pets, and I in NO WAY am promoting them as pets. They are a lot of work, have many medical needs which are very expensive (your ill dogs vet bills tripled) which will show themselves sooner than later (adrenal disease, cancer, etc.) and need physical activity yet watched like a hawk. Also, despite being super cute, they make terrible pets for children. However, for the right person who truly wants and can commit the expenses, time, care, and give lotsa playtime and love, ferrets will melt your heart and laugh more than you'll know... In Memory of Silver, Ginger, and RC whom I still think about every day and will forever love and miss. <3
Enthused ferret is really enjoyinghis or her bath time. Totally loving this .gif. Alas, my heart still ache for my wonderful ferrets…they really DO make life a little happier. According to a few studies (I’ll link the source later), having a pet (or multiple) significantly raises ones dopamine/serotonin levels.
Duh. Obviously having a pet makes you happy - or else people wouldn’t get them. Captain Obvious I know, but I still think it’s pretty cool that there’s now scientific proof and can be taken from a medical and mental/emotional health standpoint. This now proven fact could be the push said community needs to see that “pet therapy” is as helpful as art therapy or talk therapy, and could be a very important tool - even lifesaving for some. Just a ramble but I love this .gif so much!
