I donât usually make posts like this, but this time I need to let it out. I was going to reply to another post, but I donât want to bother the OP -and Iâm not talking about them at all, itâs just a thought-, so Iâll just drop it here.
Many of us -FC5 content creators- are still here, creating content and trying to support others, no matter what, or if theyâre big or small blogs. The fandom IS NOT DYING at all. And personally, itâs a statement that bothers me a lot because I feel that what we are doing day after day is being completely undervalued or ignored. Weâre still drawing, writing, making edits, taking screenshots, etc. MANY PEOPLE ARE CONTRIBUTING TO THE FANDOM IN MANY DIFFERENTS WAYS.
Thatâs what we should focus on. And Iâm not trying to underestimate anyoneâs opinion, donât get me wrong, I know that the tone on the internet can be misunderstood. Iâm saying that Iâm kinda tired of seeing some people complaining again and again, but doing nothing to support others, to contribute, share their works, OCs, etc. Howâs the situation supposed to change, then?Â
As a content creator, I can say that itâs also frustrating and discouraging. Support is bidirectional, thereâs a need for feedback, no one is more than anyone, and Iâve said it many times, I canât expect otherâs support if I donât do the same. Thatâs the center of this thing.Â
So, it doesnât matter if youâre already here or your a newcomer, DONâT GIVE UP. Do what you want to do, what you like to do; share your OCs, fill the FC5 tags with your contents, write, draw, edit, whatever you want to do. Most of this fandom is 100% supportive and welcoming, and weâre still here to enjoy all this thing.
Also, donât forget that there are great initiatives right now like @farcry5positivity, @fc5appreciation, @hopecountyocs, and the Secret Santa/Gift Exchange @seedsplease and some of us are getting ready right now.
Again, the fandom is not dying. It has its ups and downs as everything in this life. As simple as that. Â
Forget my English. Iâm frustrated and itâs hard to express myself.
