Tiffany always liked getting to know people. She didnāt work in the hospital, and a luckily, nor had she ever been admitted. But that didnāt stop her from learning the names of all the nurses, the doctors, even the workers in the cafeteria--Leo always did make the most killer coffees, she tells Luhan whenever she sees him.
Making a quick stop at the nurses station to disinfect her hands, she takes both bags of noodles and clicks her way toward Luhanās office. Right on time, she notes, glancing at her watch and knocking twice. She waited for no reply, before entering.Ā
āThe ghost of lunches past has arrived bearing gifts of noodles from the place down the road!ā With her proclamation, she slumps into the seat opposite him, fumbling with the packaging and begins to eat.Ā āBusy today?ā She asks, after a moment, too preoccupied with filling her empty stomach that she hadnāt even said hello to him.Ā āWhereās Kang? Have you fed him?ā
beautiful,

Itās rather surprising how, at least for someone like Hongbin, one can find peace and solace in a busy cafe. He enjoyed it, regardless of the high levels of of noise that can fill the four walls that house them; the fact that quiet conversation can turn into the opposite when there were twenty or so people involved.
After heās served the last of the morning rush, a lovely mother of two who asked for a glass of milk for her children, to which he was happy to oblige, he retrieves his textbook from under the counter. The managers always complained that there counter was more textbooks than food and Hongbin would always laugh it off. They were right, after all. No one complained, not when half of their revenue came from students that came in to swoon over his dimples. He tends to laugh that off, too, though he canāt shake the feeling that it was wrong.Ā
Today, he was rereading a textbook on CPR, refreshing his mind on the necessary steps to be taken if someone suffers a heart attack or, worse, within the store. Given the time and day, he thinks that leaves him at least half an hour until another order comes through. Heās made it through the passage on breathing rhythms, when someone approaches the register.Ā
He tucks the text book under his arm, smiles brightly, and welcomes them.Ā āGood morn--oh, itās afternoon now,ā The other baristaās always say that people flock to his shift because he always looked like he had a smile on his face--if resting bitch face was a thing, for Hongbin, it was a resting smile face. He never understood what that meant. āHow can I help you today?ā
hands on deck,
DALENA&ALEXA [ rvsetumā ]
When sheās finished signing in, talking to teachers and praising the principal, Dalena is allowed on campus after a brief look from security. She understood, of course, why there were so many precautions, but really, do they not know who she was. She hadnāt been gone for too long, her graduation having only passed months earlier.Ā
She sends a quick text to Sebastian, who, being the sole reason she was on campus, was still in class. With a pout, she assigns herself to do something else until he finishes. What was there really to do when you have no ties left to your school? She does what she always does.
She heads to the field in search of cheerleaders.
Upon arrival, Dalena finds that there is only one person on field, cheering away to a loud boombox.Ā āPrincess!ā She cups her hands around her mouth to elevate her voice, and races over to Alexa.Ā
Sheās glad that the school listened to her recommendation. There was no one else she would rather lead her cheerios than The Rose Princess herself, āOr should I say, Cheer Captain Princess. Congratulations!āĀ

I have it! ( ; she says suddenly, raising her head from where it was previously leaning against wheeinās shoulder ) We should film a lookbook! Yes, I know, so original, but here me out. Iāll model looks on you instead of me!Ā
catching feelings,

Ireneās favourite part of her job, without hesitation, is that brief break she gets in the morning when one of her interns runs down to Starbucks and gets the office supply of coffee. Itās gives her a chance to walk around the floor, chatting briefly with everyone before handing off the order and having ten minutes of silence to herself.
Today, she fills that silence with candy crush. As she closes level 97 with a new high score, said intern has returned with two drinks: one for her, one for their boss.Ā āIāll take it from here, darlingā She says with a smile, opening the top drawer of her desk and pulling out her own personal stash of sugar and coffee.Ā
After sheās made his coffee the way that he likes it, she sprinkles a bit of fairy dust over the top. Bobby would never be able to tell and, really, what difference did it make as long as he liked it. Carrying both coffees and a pile of paperwork in her arms, she enters his office.
āGood morning,ā She greets, setting everything on the table and then beginning to go through what they needed to do for the day,Ā āYouāre 11oāclock cancelled but I managed to get them in to a conference call instead so they should be calling you in the next fifteen minutes--ā When she looks up she sees that he already has a coffee in his hands and, without warning, she simply takes it right out of his hands and replaces it with his own. Innocently sipping from her coffee, she blinks at him,Ā āWhat? I know you like your coffee a particular wayāĀ
threshold,

Thereās a split second of light, blinding, typically, but also soothing and then silence. The type of silence one would described as deafening, as if it were possible in the slightest. Heās not sure how long heās been out but when he comes to, he feels an ache in his bones and thereās a tired sort of hold on his eyes. Almost like he had been asleep for an entire week.
Jaehwan always assumed that death was like falling asleep and just never waking up--you know, classic white clouds and halos and the rest welcoming me when you did. No reincarnation, no second chances. Just, death.
Instead he wakes up to a rather spacious neighbourhood, bustling, if that was possible, filled with residents alike to the one he lived in back home. Or, he did. Pushing himself off the ground, he bends slightly to brush himself off dirt until he realises that there was none. He was clean and... not covered in blood? Impossible.Ā
Fear was not a feeling he was accustomed to. A life he lived, there was never space for that kind of thing. So he walks around this unfamiliar neighbourhood as if nothing else mattered. Things seemed so... clean. Pristine. Put together, here.Ā
Beyond him, he can start to hear people. His pace quickens as he finds himself wanting to be around people and, in the crowd, a particular face stands out. All the serenity he felt upon his arrival disappears in the second that he recognises the face he followed into death.Ā
āHey! Hey, you! Hongbin, you stupid piece of shit, come āere!āĀ

āDid you want some more tea?ā Yunho asks, reaching over the table, pouring more into the mug before his companion. A dog cannot have tea, simply because they were a dog, but at least when his young protege arrives, it will be ready.
Speaking of which,Ā āHeās late againā Glancing at his wrist watch, a cool little gadget that doubles as a weapon, he notes the arms ticking over into five past. Rather typical for the young agent, but Yunho canāt complain. Instead, he sips his english breakfast and converses one-sidedly with the puppy.Ā
When he does finally hear the doors behind him open and then shut, he raises a hand, stopping any conversation,Ā āItās very rude for you to interrupt a lively conversation as thisā It was a sort of punishment, as well as a well placed joke. He focuses on the pug opposite, who in itās small stature, struggles to see over the table, āYes, I completely agree, Remy. It is rather hard to find good agents these days. At least ones that are on time.ā

What was time, really? Just an aspect of space, a concept of movement, a passing of light. Perhaps, if she had more of it, she would be able to better figure out the path of things. Instead, sheās late for work and suffering severe caffeine withdrawals.Ā
Normally she would duck into the cafe near her apartment, take her time with her coffee, order a bagel if she was feeling particularly famished. Today, with white prada heels clicking the pavement below her, she instead rushes into the cafe near her office building, impatiently waiting in the long cue and contemplates what to order.Ā
āLatte, no foam, extra hot for this beautiful hot day. Please and thank you!ā Sheās chirpy as ever, even if her body lacks the fundamental element that wakes it up. Quickly pulling out her card, she swipes and moves along in a second, not at all recognising the tall barista behind the counter.Ā
Thereās something familiar and a sort of yearning pulls her head up, narrowing her sight onto the male that has his hands around her coffee. He looked so familiar... maybe it was...Ā āSehun?āĀ
She had never really believed much in change. People you know remain the same people, regardless of time. He looked so... different. Mature, she thinks, far thinner than she remembers, taller, too. But what changed the most, she recognises in a second, is that he looked far more attuned to life than she remembered. Two years must have done him some good.Ā
They call out her order and she is snapped back to reality. Sheepishly, she approaches, her head held in a way that he would not be able to avoid eye contact. āThank you... Sehunā With a smile she slips a twenty dollar bill into the tip jar and waits for him to say something.Ā
because, apparently, i am starter trash and i need a list to keep me accountable. iāll be back after scream queens. if this list looks... wrong/weird/missing just let me know!Ā
