I’ve realized that Vox has a whole set of behavioral logic he applies depending on someone’s position in relation to him. Since he originally placed Charlie on the opposite side of the board, their interactions are inevitably shaped by his intentional (or sometimes unconscious) mockery.

And here's my favourite part. Vox’s sense of self-worth is heavily dependent on external validation. He pushes back against Charlie’s criticism of his character by flaunting the resources and power he has. In contrast, Charlie’s sense of self-worth is like a healthy, self-sustaining system. She doesn’t rely on external validation. Disagreement, mockery and insults don’t shake her convictions.

I know these two parts were heavy. BUT the next two updates? FINALLY FLUFF TIME!!
