ART IS AN..

astra-stellaris:
They went back to their table and had dessert, which was normal for them, and then it was time to leave. Of course, Astra paid, as she usually did, and then left the waiter a decently sized tip.
She and Haytham separated at the door, and she pulled out her phone, answering missed texts and calls on the way to her car. She stood outside of it, leaning against it’s sleek surface as she spoke, her voice calm and quiet, a muted tone against the sounds of the city.
The calls took a while to finish–they were the type that she couldn’t have given her full attention in the car while paying attention to the road–the type that were usually reserved for her patients.
She wasn’t going to meet anyone else that day, as she’d cleared most of her schedule, but.. she was tired. Perhaps she would go home and rest? Or she could visit the beach and relax there. Or, she could stand in the parking lot a little bit and not feel like she was forced to do anything.
A rare day to take off, it seemed, even if it did have her backed up for weeks afterwards.
She dialed another number. “Haythammmm,” her voice was quiet, “I have the day off and I’m bored–”
“Never thought you’d ask, Princess.”
“I told you to stop calling me that! I’m not a kid anymore!”
“Awe. C’mon, Astra.”
“Since we ate we could just hang out at the beach.”
“I guess–”
Many had assumed they were a couple, but they were just really good friends that had known each other the entirety of their lives. They were close–sibling level close.
He had waited and waited, he was patient when it came to his marks, so he had sat back, ordered some tea and just kept his eyes out. He knew there was no room for error, not on a job such as his.
He finally sees her and the man emerge. After she walked out of the restaurant he walks out and stands by his car which was across from hers. She was alone and as he looked around, there was no one in the parking lot either. And his pistol had a silencer.
He smirked. He walks up to her and smiled. Well more like smirked. “Hang up your phone and follow me” he said moving aside his long cloak to reveal a hand holding a pistol in her.
“Do not scream or do something stupid or this bullet will go into you faster than you can blink” he said quietly.
He would kill her as soon as they were in his car. This was definitely an easy task. Most of them were, hell they all were, he never had any that were hard. Deidara was intelligent and careful. However all his marks also had not had superhuman powers as he did, in fact he had never met another person such as himself.
He quite liked that. He loved being different from everyone else. Special, unique. He prided himself on being the only human to have these abilities.
“It is your unlucky day, sweetheart, so just don’t fight it, I promise to make it quick and painless, yea”

So it truly was him… His senses did not deceive him, his chakra was exactly what he remembered. Yet he was the one asking him what happened to his supposed death, when really, that was the greatest question on his mind in regards to Deidara. A member that he believed died long ago, during a time when the Akatsuki’s numbers were dropping at an alarming rate, he’d simply disappeared. He’d mourned the loss of the young member, as he had encouraged all the others to as well. Yet here he was, alive and well, supposedly hiding this whole time. Even during the war that ravaged the world and very nearly led it to its end.
It was no disappointment to see another survivor of the Akatsuki, though of all people to survive… Perhaps that is why he still remained wary of his intentions. For now, he’d accept that he was here to purchase some items, and remaining discreet only made sense. He might need to keep an eye on the bomber…
“I myself missed most of the war. As for why I am here now, I would tell you if I had the answer, but I can assure you, my death did occur. My revival now was entirely unplanned. To think, here you are now… Where have you been? Why did you not return to the Akatsuki?”
“And… what do you intend to do now?”
“That is a lot of questions, yea?” He remarked with a slight smirk. “I didn’t return because I have heard of the war that was closing in, I wasn’t about to be another casualty, and my goal now is to destroy the leaf, yea” He says, walking towards a stand that sold female items. He purchased some khol eyeliner.
“I was safe, in a secret place that I will not divulge, I am sure you can understand why” He pocketed the eyeliner and, he still kept his hood on his head. He was sure people still knew of him, he wasn’t well liked and for good reason.
“The people that killed my parents are in the leaf, I have informants that have kept me appraised of them, unfortunately they are still alive, yea” He said, bitterness lacing his tone. “I think that village has done enough damage to people, including the Uchiha, I hate the Uchiha but still..they too were a casualty of that god forsaken village” He said coldly.
Deidara had been planning this for some time. He had seen so many fall due to the leaf. And no matter what, the damn village would rise again like some stubborn cockroach.

The day had gone well–better than she thought it would go, for sure. She managed to get to the restaurant in time, too, with her briefcase and her business suit clean, unwrinkled and unblemished. But things were going too well, and that made her anxious.
There was a catch somewhere, always–and she just had to find it.
“Ayo, Princess!” There was Haytham, tall, with dark skin, amber eyes and long dreadlocks going to his middle back, dressed in a dress shirt, tie and vest, looking unconcerned as he usually did. He was certainly handsome enough.
Haytham Grave– a boy four years her senior in their boarding school, one that she’d been friends with before then, as well.
“Haytham,” she greeted with a smile.
“So what you got for me this time?”
The briefcase was slid across the floor at their feet–a comfortable exchange that had happened many times before. Haytham simply knocked it over and slid it underneath his chair, as he usually did.
“I swear, everything’s going too well–”
“That’s a good thing. Like I said, I’ll be taking this research to the development division and they’ll be worried about that part. You just have to continue supplying us with the research and we’ll keep development going.”
“I guess–” But she sounded hesitant.
They’d been there so many times at that point that the waiter automatically brought their food to them, and they ate in relative quiet.
“So you wanna go outside and have a smoke with me on the balcony? You brought those cigars that your dad used to smoke, right?”
A soft laugh. “Sure. I always do when I know I’m meeting you.” A soft pat on her small bag.
And so, they left the restaurant to go to the balcony.
He listened closely as he fiddled with his cell. Minutes pass, his food arrives just as she and the man get up. Deidara groans. He had hoped she had needed to use the bathroom, that would have been easier. He sighs and got up, he stealthily follows them, he can’t follow them too closely. Once they are on the balcony, he decides to go back to his seat. It would look to shady if he appeared there as well.
He did smoke but still, the reason he hadn’t been caught yet was because he wasn’t wreckless. He was hungry anyways. He ate his food, his eyes watching for his target. Luckily, the restrooms were in view, so if she had to use the restroom on her way back, he would see it.
His pistol had a silencer on it, so he could easily just pop her and bolt. No one the wiser. He should of checked out the balcony before thier arranged time. Maybe it was a spot most customers went, it didn’t matter anyways. Even if it was, he couldn’t off her in front of others.
He tapped his fingers on the table, eagerly awaiting her return. He spots the waitress walking towards his table. He forced himself not to roll his eyes. “How is the food, can I get you anything else?” She asked.
“Yea, some peace and quiet” He snapped. She gasped, her eyes slightly narrow and she turns and walks off.
God that was annoying. And what a question, is the food good? He ate it all didn’t he?

astra-stellaris:
“What do you mean, we’re changing the day of the meeting?” Her deep voice was very annoyed, “I–fine. We agreed on this coming Tuesday, but you want it to be Monday, 4:00 at Alexandria’s restaurant. That’s fine, but I’ll have to be rearranging not only my schedule, but that of my clients I have on that day.”
The response to her was a quick, “You’re usually more nice to me.”
“You call me, quite rudely telling me to change the day, and then do this? I’m going to be canceling on people that have waited a month! You don’t understand patient care, and at this point I don’t think you want to. I understand that we’re working on development together, but I also have my own practices to run, my own life that I’m working with to get this done as quickly and efficiently as possible.”
An obvious argument to anyone that knew her–even if her face seemed to hold the same expression.
“Not only am I dealing with you, the government is demanding more research into elemental affinities, more interrogations, if that was possible before, and now you’re trying to change days. I’m going to have to re-work my schedule for the next three weeks to play catch up for this one day. Whatever you have for me, it better be fucking good.” Her voice softened, in contrast to the crude word.
“Don’t worry ‘bout it, Princess. I’ve got a few good things to make setting you back worth it.”
“Thanks, Haytham. Sorry for–all of that.”
“Not a problem, okay? Wouldn’t want my best friend feeling too overwhelmed.”
The line went dead.
She sighed and put her phone away.
Deidara quickly wrote some notes down in his notebook. When the call was over he sat there in his care a bit longer. He had to get to know her routine.
Monday 3:57 pm Alexandreas Restaurant-
Deidara sat in his car and eyed the restaurant. Fancy place. He sneered and pulled down the mirror and checked his eyeliner. He then got out and pocketed his keys. He refused to wear a suit. He did however dress nice though, he wore a long sleeved black button up dress shirt, no tie of course, the sleeves partially rolled up just a bit and black dress pants with his usual black motorcycle boots, which strangely went with the outfit. His hair was in a low loose ponytail, aside from the long bangs that covered one eye.
He wore his usual long ankle length black leather coat. He walked in and sat in a dark corner, he spotted her right off. He could see her better. He was at a table behind hers. He got out his phone and pretended to mess around on it.
A waiter walks up and asks for his order. “Water” He said, his words clipped. “Will that be all?” She asked. Did I order anything else?, he thought bitterly, but only nodded.
The smell of the food was enticing him though so he called her back. “Actually I will have this” He said tapping the picture on the menu.
She smiled and nods. “Very well” She said and walked off again.
He once again wanted a smoke but it was a smoke free section. He opened a mindless game on his phone, all his attention focused on her conversation.
Deidara had his gun in his belt, of course it was well hidden.
astra-stellaris
α TrA (Atria) Astra Stellaris was rather famous–whether it be for what happened to her as a child, her resulting intelligence, the drive to hurry through school, obtain a doctorate degree–she was considered a genius in her own right.
And that wasn’t considering her family connections. Her father and grandmother had passed, and she was left with mountains of money in accounts, both on and offshore–but she didn’t really dip into them unless she was donating to charity, hosting dinners, or starting her own special practice using her Stellaris family ability–their bloodline, to help people. Her mother, in particular, raged against her and took her to court, but with evidence that her mother at one point wanted nothing to do with her, was left out of the will and not given a single penny.
Many, many people wanted her dead, if not for exposing the underworld, for championing justice for those that had no one to help them.
The thing is–once you’re very successful, no one can tell you what time to show up–you make the rules, the times, everything.
And Astra loved sleeping in. That morning was no different. She awoke at around eleven, dressed, and hurried to her office, before seeing a few patients, and then came back home for dinner.
There were many calls made as she paced to and fro in front of her house, occasionally leaning against a midnight pearl blue bmw that hadn’t even been released yet. Supposedly.
Her home, a manor house, was close to the beach, secluded from most other places. An entire street, just to herself. Other houses were close, and sometimes when others hosted parties, they parked their cars. She didn’t mind, and she saw nothing wrong with it.
Here, she was free to do as she wished, and she didn’t hide. She assumed she was safe.
“Well well, look who is living the high life” He said bitterly. He kept his windows up, his eye on his target. He had money now, he wasn’t quite where he wanted to be, but he was getting there. Some people were just born with it. People who didn’t deserve it, in his opinion. He grabbed his electronic listening device and pointed it at the vehicle, he would be able to hear everything that was said, on her end, not who she was talking to on the phone.
He hated this part, meant he had to turn off his music. He sighs and turns the volume all the way down. Such a great song too.
He narrowed his eyes and focused on any sound that would be valuable to his mark. He wished it would be as simple as just walking over and taking her out, but it was never that simple, he was very careful, it was how he stayed out of prison so far. He was great at covering his tracks.
“Come on..give me something” He whispers. He wanted to smoke, but now was a bad time to do so. It was ok, he always excelled in this missions and never had any issues in taking care of his target. He always took them out, quickly and cleanly. No, he saved his best work for his free time killing. He wanted people to know those killings were his and his alone.
A couple years back he had an issue of a copycat, going around trying to make thier killings look like his. Oh he had been beyond enraged! Especially when people had believed the bastards shoddy work to be his! He had thrown a fit and had hunted the prick down and had slowly killed him. He had made sure to let the public know that the bastard had not been him, had even left a note explaining to the public that it was a copycat killer, not his work, and shame on them for believing it!
He had upped the ante then, his killings had been more beautiful than ever. He should really thank the prick.

Deidara was hoping for at least a small vacation, not that he didn’t enjoy his career, blowing things and people up were fun and sometimes euphoric, but he had had it all planned, he hadn’t purchased the tickets yet, but he had been ready, he had even packed. Then this hit came in. He sometimes did hits for money, but he mainly killed for free, for fun, but those kills were his art and he did them in a very specific way. When he was paid to do a hit, he killed them differently.
Fast and clean. No fire, no explosives. He didn’t enjoy killing in that way, but he felt like being paid for his art, was selling out. So he only killed for free, for fun. But it was mainly how he made income, and this hit was his highest paying so far. He could definitly use the money, he wasn’t low on funds, by any means, but he didn’t have an amount he was comfortable with, plus this could up his vacation funds and he could really go all out. He loved visiting different countries, mainly for their art museums. Italy was his next vacation destination.
He quickly sped into his driveway, tires squealing, he left the music blasting from his car. He was listening to his favorite band, Nine inch Nails. He reread the letter once more. Yes he would in deed be set with this. He smirked. Piece of cake. It was a shame however that his mark was beautiful, usually they weren’t.
He read all about his target. He was surprised. He had never killed anyone with abilities before, still, this would be a piece of cake. He shut off the engine, silencing the music. He got out and quickly entered his house. He wouldn’t need his special gear for this. He grabbed a few things, his long black leather coat, his pistol. He then ran back out to his car.
He had memorized her adress. He set off for her adress, once there, he parked across the street. He was glad his car was black. It was a black camaro. He shut off the engine. It was dusk, the sun was setting. He eyed her abode, his windows were tinted, he could see out, but no one could see in. He may couldn’t be sloppy about this, taking her out now would be sloppy. He would learn her routine first.

Ever since he’d returned to life, Nagato had spent much of his time trying to improve Amegakure’s situation from the shadows. He’d caught up on all the recent events of the world, and found the unfortunate news of Konan’s fate… It occurred to him, as far as he was aware, he was the last member of the Akatsuki left. Of both the original and the later one staffed with criminals. It was an oddly empty feeling, for one whose life should have been over long ago. He drowned himself instead in work, keeping a village that had been without a true leader for so long, without their god to guide them and the damage done from prior battles led to such disarray.
The rain still poured in Amegakure, but signs of their god’s revival came when the rain was seemingly controlled once more. Chakra flowing through each drop, alerting him of a new presence in the village, and one that was… familiar when he really focused on it. Was it… but it couldn’t be, could it? Quickly he secured a hood over his head and traveled to the lower reaches of the village, where this possible old presence was. What he saw was not who he expected, as he watched from the alleyway. Easily explained of course, but chakra never lied.
He stepped out, quietly following behind, before speaking up.
“What business do you have here?”
No matter how much had changed, Amegakure was still a cautious kind of country. To be checked wouldn’t be unusual, but if this was the chakra he thought it was… None of the former members of the Akatsuki were the best to trust anywhere.
Deidara couldn’t believe it was him. His eye widen and he drops the hinge, he knew he had been found out. “I thought I was the last akatski alive, yea” He said, calmly.
Had this been any other akatski member he would of told them to mind their own business, but Deidara had always had some respect for Nagato. “I am here to purchase some things” He replied. He had heard all the members had been killed, apparently he had heard wrong. Which begged the question, what other intel had he heard wrong? “I heard you died, what all happened?” Deidara asked. He still wore his hood over his head, only his one eye could be seen, some blond strands stuck out, his long bangs hanging over his eye.
Diedara had respected Nagato, but he didn’t know him well and he still didn’t trust the man, not enough to inform him of his goals, not yet anyways.
“I was in hiding during the war, yea..I heard of all that was going to take place, I know a lot of people died”
@godofame
It had been right after the war was won that Deidara had sent out one of his clay birds to come back and it had come back with the news he had long awaited. He was glad he had hoarded so much water and food. He had been in hiding for so long. It was in the stone country, the one in which he had been born that he had sought out his old stalking grounds. It was a cave not many knew about if any, it was well below sea level, a cave hidden way deep in the fartherest reaches of the mountains, it was hell getting there, if you weren’t Deidara. He knew of the secret entry way. Now he comes out of the cave, wearing only his black fishnet top and black pants and shinobi footwear. He had shed his akatski cloak long before he had hidden. He had also stayed in shape, the cave, once deep inside was huge and was by a lagoon, he never wanted for water.
His hair reaches his waist, his usual length, still half tied up upon his head. He kept his hair the same length never letting it shorter or longer. He had run out of his eyeliner, however and wasn’t happy about that. He quickly donned a long black cloak, sans red clouds, it had a hood he covered his head with as he started out. It took him awhile on foot, but he finally made it to the boarder of the rain. He was hesitant to enter. He didn’t know what all had become of his old group.
He stuck to the tree tops,, he needed some more rations, among other things, he wasn’t above staling them. He created a hinge, his hair turns black and short, his eyes turn green and he jumps from the limb and enters the village.
i suddenly feel like i'm improving a little (?)
