Thoughts on The Outer Worlds vs Fallout

In Fallout, the apocalypse is nuclear, and in the fairly far past. Fallout 1 came out in 1997, a year when not that many people were losing sleep over nuclear war. Buildings are abandoned because there just aren't that many people around.

In The Outer Worlds, the apocalypse is capitalism, and it is ongoing. Most people with jobs lose sleep over it nightly. Buildings in TOW are abandoned because they weren't profitable, or deemed insufficiently profitable. Finally, unlike Fallout, you can shoot people, and I cannot stress this enough, in the fucking dick for crits
