Devotees worship her in nine forms Shailputri, Chandraghanta, Brahmacharini, Skanda Mata, Kushmanda, Maha Gauri, Katyayani, Kalaratri, Siddhidatri. Often hailed as the destroyer of evil, she was born to eliminate demonic king Mahishasura with her trident. . .
