It felt like years had passed— This unfamiliar, disgusting, false Elisium was horrid to look at and even worse to interact with. The immortal had secluded himself in his office, telling the other high-up employees that he needed a break. And they believed him. Besides, it wasn’t a lie. He did need a break— Staring out the window of his luxurious office he only observed the humans below.
What Chaos. Weaklings, fools, ephemeral beings of Greed— Wipe them all away, wipe them all away—
"Damnit…"
He sighed and fell back into the wonderfully comforting chair and kicked his feet up. Idiots. Maybe a small nap would ease his mind, even if only temporarily— A knock at the office door, however, told him that he wasn’t going to be getting any rest.
Standing and heading to the ornate doors he waved his hand and noted the person on the other side.
"Oh, forgive me I’m a bit of a mess— I haven’t seen you here before. Are you a new employee?"
She did not know what she was doing here. The company's reputation preceded itself. Yet, she found herself nearly giggling like a little girl as she stepped out of the elevators. Cool new weapons, cool new outfits, damn, Sterling knew how to take care of a girl. Or boy. She still hasn't made up her mind yet. But that was something she was trying to suppress really hard, really really hard. One day, she would sit down and think things through. But she never was one to think things through.
She paused at the secretary's desk, holding the card up and looking at the name on the door. Weird name. Wondered where this dude was from. She was waved forward by secretary. She knocked. She knocked again. She smirked and waved a little bit.
"No. But I did start a new job. Umm... here." She gave him a card with his name on it. "Mr. Tevan. I'm... the new security guard, glorified babysitter, a bouncer, for Remnants." She flipped her hair back by simply straightening her posture. "My employer wishes to... outfit me with some of your new toys that might need... testing."
