can you try farmacy ( yes that's the brand ) lavender mint lip bloom? I heard its suppsed to be really good!
I will have to pick it up later this year and try for sure! Thanks for the rec 😊
have you ever tried any of the nyx matte lipsticks? and not sure if you only do lip balms or any lip products
I usually stick to the balms BUT I have tried those coincidentally - great colour payoff but they are a little drying. So I would suggest prepping your lips beforehand with a hydrating balm 😊
Do you like maybelline's baby lip?
Yes, I reviewed them some time ago I believe, they are light and with a gentle colour pay-off, but nothing groundbreaking!
Chap Ship Lip Balms in Original, Peppermint & Cherry (+ subscription service)*
$$$: Starting at just $1.00 US per lip balm.
Scent: Original - No fragrance, Peppermint - Clean mint, Cherry - Cherry Starburst
All housed in convenient twist-up tubes, these balms spread easily over lips for a protective coating that doesn’t feel heavy and provide a slight sheen. The subscription service itself allows individuals to customise frequency of delivery (monthly or bi-monthly) and the flavours and quantities of the Chap Ship balms to be delivered to their door. The aim is to never be without your lip balm with the consistent service! And if you’re curious - my penchant for Peppermint is ever strong!
Best for: anyone who has ever found themselves searching high and low for that lost lip balm, or speedy balm users!
Visit: https://www.chap-ship.com for more information.
*Please note - I was provided these balms to review, but was not compensated for my review. I only review products that I honestly enjoy.
My absolute favorite lip balms are the ones in little tins from The Body Shop! Have you tried them?
I have tried them, although I don't think I reviewed one from them yet - but if you have a recommendation for flavor/scent that you would like a review on let me know!
Nuxe Reve de Miel Lip Balm $$$: 19.95 AU/US 19.00 Scent: subtle bitter orange and almond A uniquely textured pot-form balm that starts with a slightly grainy quality until it warms on the lips. Unfortunately it falls short of being a soothing or protective barrier, but could be used as a gentle lip scrub or pre-lipstick prep. Best for: pout preppers (or a Nuxe die-hard.)
Clinique Superbalm Moisturising Gloss in Ginger $$$: 32.00 AU/16.50 US Scent: none The texture of this lip balm is next-level buttery (in the best way.) It manages to walk the line of thick and rich and protective but never sticky. The colour pigmentation is decent and with a high gloss finish, and a little goes a long way. Best for: anyone seeking a heavy duty glossy lip that hydrates.
Doctor Lip Bang's Lip Freak in Atomic Cherry $$$: US 8.00 Approx. Scent: Cinnamon bubble gum Really more a novelty than a lip soother, this red hot cinnamon-filled sucker does indeed make your lips buzz (at the price of irritated lips) for a good 10 minutes after application. This shade also leaves a bright sheer red so definitely not for on-the-go application. Overall a fun tube balm but best kept for healthy lips! Best for: Thrill-seekers (of the pout variety) - and no buzz kills.
Vaseline Lip Therapy in Cocoa Butter $$$: US 1.79 approx. Scent: soft nutty butter with vanilla This uber-cute teeny-tiny jar is more than meets the eye! I expected a thin Vaseline texture but was greeted with a thick, comforting layer and warm scent. Gives lips a glossy appearance - the only downside of course is the finger-dipping aspect, but nonetheless a great offering from Vaseline. Best for: non jar-phobics looking for a sweet slick of lip comfort.
Ren Vita Mineral Lip Balm* $$$: AU 20.00/US 15.00 *Please note this is a mini version, pricing is for full size. Scent: None This was an airline freebie thanks to a recent Virgin flight - and it's a great all-rounder tube balm. Translucent, slight shine and good lasting power (but a slightly silicone texture is a little bit of a turn off.) Best for: This is a great beginner balm if you're looking to spend a little more.
Thanks to the previous anonymous request - found this tiny one at Ralph's today! Please recommend and request, I always do my best to locate and review for you.
Have you tried the Vaseline lip therapy line? They come in a tiny little Vaseline tub in original, cocoa butter and rosey lips (this one is slightly tinted).
I have tried it before but I don't think I have posted about them - I will try and find some to review ASAP! :)
Have you used TREAT lip balm?
I have not! I will check it out - thanks!
Maui Mike’s Hawaiian Lip Balm*
$$$: (8.99 US for 5 balms, the cost of shipping and handling.)
Scent: I sampled all 9 - but Pineapple is my absolute favourite with a mouth watering freshly cut pineapple scent (and taste!)
A classic twist up stick style balm with a range of 9 scents (Peppermint and Passionfruit I’m also a big fan of). These leave a nice, translucent, subtle sheen on application and last well - no waxy sensation and all with a nice addition of SPF. If you're looking for a crowd pleaser - Pina Colada is the best seller of the line with a creamy/tangy flavour and taste that perfectly captures a beach cocktail.
You can purchase at http://mauimikeslipbalm.com
Best for: Anyone looking for an outdoors -friendly, travel-friendly balm in a wide range of delicious flavours.
*Please note: I was sent these balms for review, I was not compensated for this review and all opinions are honest and my own.
Burt’s Bees Squeezable Beeswax Lip Balm
$$$: AU 8.95/US 5.00 Approx.
Scent: clean, soft peppermint
This is a great addition to the Burt’s Bees line and significantly more hydrating than the stick version of their balms. Translucent finish with a very slight glossiness, cooling sensation and decent lasting power.
Best for: Anyone who hates stick balms but wants to try a BB product.
Have you tried Aquafina brand lip balm yet? I really recommend them c:
I have tried one awhile back - but not recently enough to remember! I will have to try and find some to review. Thank you! :D
