i joke but let's make this clear, this is quite literally the opposite of the truth. i have seldom if ever felt welcomed into the "trans community" as a trans woman. i felt much more welcomed when i was in the closet, whether it be when i was calling myself agender and was reluctant to ever explore femininity even while i was taking estrogen, or when i ran fully back into the closet and was presenting as a queer man.

this is such a clear example of the phenomenon of delving so far into a niche community that you forget what the actual status quo of the rest of the world is. these people are so committed to stalking and harassing a small group of transfeminists that they've forgotten that, in every other queer space besides niche tumblr friend groups, TME queers are the dominant voices. everywhere. it is so easy to find "women and fems" spaces that exclude trans women, it is so easy to find "afab only housing," it is so easy to find books and papers and studies and panels that include "trans voices" but never trans women. informational videos about hrt will be made promoting misconceptions about feminizing hormone therapy because they didn't include any transfem voices to talk about our own experiences!!

i actually firmly agree that there is no "trans community," i have felt that way for a long time. but it is not TME trans people who are reluctantly allowed to sit silently at the table, and you all know it. stop pretending that trans women have any institutional power under any circumstances, you're just mad at feminists on tumblr because you're a fucking misogynist.
