Going off of the question you just replied to me and another blog about for player!bobby, you said that you think her would tell MC about his player ways on day 25 and that it would come off as manipulative but true. But now a question has popped into my head because of the situation that comes from that. Whether or not the confession comes before or after āI love youā doesnāt really matter in this situation because the result is the same: getting hit with this big confession with what should be a loving confession will really shake MCās feelings. With Lurik coming back into the villa and pining for MC, do you think the confession would come from Lurikās return (like they say that either Bobby tells the truth or they will) or from Bobby really wanting to tell MC the truth? Because maybe Bobby was going to tell her but later because he was so nervous about it. I can really picture this situation leading to really dramatic recoupling where MC goes last and has to choose between Bobby and Lurik (in a perfect villa where Chelsea has a partner who really likes her is doesnāt use her as a backup) and when MC chooses Bobby, you can see this genuine relief and happiness on his face where he might even tear up because MC chose to believe him and keep loving him. The way he would cling to MC and say something like āThank you Lass.ā Repeating that he loves her. Okay, going to far into that fantasy

my idea of player!bobby is that he would hold off telling mc he loves her because he needed to know there was a possibility of being loved back, that she missed him, enough to tell hope about the recoupling that follows casa amor.
they haven't been coupled up since day 13, and at this point she could've been getting closer with the boy she decided to save. they did great in the challenge, possibly winning, and his insecurities were flourishing once again.
having that confirmation, that mc wants him back, it's the first signal he needed to mode forward and telling the truth, but he's still insecure about other variants.
there's a possibility of someone coming in and catching her eye. i feel like at this point, bobby is thinking of her needs as much as his. "let someone else come in, and we'll see what happens."
because if she takes interest, he would tell her about the game plan, but he wouldn't confess his love.
having returning!boy in the equation only makes everything better, since he's supposedly "the one that got away". bobby is not testing her anymore, he's not trying to have control over the situation, which in my head is the central plot of his character if he was a player.
telling her everything about his game, and how she changed everything for him, how she has become important to him has to be before the final recoupling, because it implies she has an option here: either believe him or go for returning!islander, who has potential.
bobby telling her also implies that he knows there's a strong chance he might lose her, but it's more important to him that she knows, and that she can make a decision based off all the facts. it shows he's not only thinking about himself anymore.
i would argue she would be pissed. of course she would! he never confirmed the tweet, he never said it was a lie or exaggeration, he just brushed off the accusation as if it was nothing, but in love island? it's everything!
bobby coming clean about his game plan, and how he fell in love for real, before the recoupling, is giving her the control, which would come across more sincere than telling her after the recoupling or close to the finale.
and i do think if she chose him, everything would be more intense. he would repeatedly say how much she means to him, and how thankful he is that this huge mistake he made didn't come between them, and how him taking things lightly was wrong.
bobby, in a player trope, had all the cards to win the game. by telling her, he shows his miserable pair after handing her a royal straight flush. it's in her hands.
this boy would fucking marry her if she wanted him.
and i have to add this: she would walk away and talk to her besties. even if this mc wasn't close to hope, i reckon she would have to be in the conversation, along with gary and possibly rahim.
the boys would be the confirmation of how much suffering he went through during casa amor, and the girls, particularly hope, about his character when mc is not around.
because here's the thing, bobby was having help. he was seeking hope and asking all these weird questions about mc, things like "how would she react if she believed in the tweet", "why hasn't she asked about the tweet again?", "do you think there's someone else she's thinking about?".
and hope, as the older sister to bobby i believe she is, would advise him to thread carefully so he wouldn't get hurt.
((even though i think, 100%, hope suspected of him this entire time but didn't say anything because younger people just don't listen, they have to learn by themselves)).
having hope and chelsea encouraging her, even though mc just told them some pretty shocking news, would have them still rooting for him, because they see the longing stares, the way he smiles when mc tells a joke, the way he was smitten after the hideaway on day 10. rahim could say something about bobby not wanting to tell mc about operation because priya wanted both girls to go for noah but he was afraid mc might've had feelings if she did.
gary telling her about a conversation he had with bobby during casa, and how weird it was but the moment she told them what was going on, he immediately understood everything from a different angle.
all these things contribute to mc's decision.
and if bobby's trope was of a player, the game would leave mc as the penultimate person to choose, bobby being one option, returning!lurik being the other.
also, can we talk about how this whole ordeal would turn the villa upside down??
lottie barking about loyalty, marisol shocked that once again she was played by a boy (even if their connection wasn't romantic), hannah commenting on how unconventional bobby's actions were but they remained consistent since casa amor...
the boys being shocked and... slightly not as shocked as they should because at least noah had his suspicions.
once mc says the final word, and chooses to trust him by picking him at the final recoupling, i do agree with you, he would tear up.
the public would probably understand but be divided. "he's still playing the game, he's just doing it in a smarter way this time", or "please, he really loves her. why would he confess if he didn't. he could've just went ahead and win the show with her and dump her right after."
twitter would be HEATED about it.
he, however, would be doing everything he can to prove to her his feelings are real. i can picture him leaving kisses all over her face while they cuddle, tell the boys they should get their tuxedos ready, possibly calling her mrs. mckenzie, which might set her to say, "alright, robert, you're laying it really thick now."
and i think this should also be the moment he confesses his name is not robert, is actually bobby.
"i'm sorry... what the fuck did you just say to me?"
"yeah, lass, my name in my birth certificate is actually bobby mckenzie."
"i'm in love with a... bobby????" she stares shocked but he's not paying attention to the roast she's delivering about his name because he's staring back with a goofy smile. "what? no responses? you're just gonna let me roast you like this?"
"sorry, i didn't hear anything after you said 'i'm in love with a bobby'."
