about me!
↳ currently finishing up my first post-grad year as a medical speech language pathologist! i love my job and getting to make a small difference in the lives of my patients.
↳ my favorite thing in the world to do is write!! my dream is to be a stay at home cat mom & author. i love a literary fiction/experimental style & i write a whole bunch of different stuff — mostly original prose & poetry, but also fanfic. with that being said, i don’t really like writing canon/canon, because i enjoy getting to fit my own original characters, plots, and ideas into a preexisting story, so all of my work is very oc-based. right now, i am mostly focusing on my bear fic, in the weeds, which centers around my oc, mairead, and her journey to becoming a chef as someone who is blind. it’s in desperate need of a grammar edit & updates are snail’s pace because of aforementioned full time job as a medical professional, but if you’re interested in reading, you can do so here & more about mairead can be found under #maireaderickson. i’m also currently working on a girldad!carmy deep dive/char study that i hope to have completed in the next few months <3

↳ as someone who is physically disabled, i am very passionate about disability advocacy and the positive representation of disabled characters in media. this is a big theme that i incorporate into my writing and something that is very important to me.
↳ besides writing, i love thrifting, vintage/kitsch clothing & decor, drawing and painting, listening to music and going to alternative shows, creating original characters, reading (my favorite author is ocean vuong!!), and spending time with my cats <3
