My favorite part of Sam & Max Freelance Police is when Geek said “It’s Geekin’ Time” and Geeked all over the place :)
Anywho, drew my older Geek again cause I love them very dearly, with the additional bonus of lyrics from my super secret Geek playlist lol
drew this after watching the fnaf movie and promptly forgot about it till just now
If someone made a low budget indie Mr Blobby horror game I'd throw them my wallet so fast
Maybe I never found FNAF very scary because I was already inoculated against the concept of terrifying humanoids by this creature of the 90s hellscape
I can't explain it but to me, Human Sam would look like this
oh yeah he sam-coded fr
Entry for Uncute's givaway on the bird app. It was fun to draw them again.
I think avoiding alcohol references when writing Sam and Max is important for maintaining their anti-noir tone. But at the same time the thought that Max can chug a whole keg of high strength lager and remain unaffected, whereas Sam is sent crashing down the stairs by a single glass of sauvignon blanc, really tickles me, and I think the rule of "I lol'd" supercedes all others. I rest my case
Went to the fanciest cinema in town, the kind that serves cocktails and gourmet popcorn just to see the FNAF movie, because I was certain it was gonna suck so why not see it in style. The most I know bout FNAF is "evil chuck e cheese" so in case you're interested in the opinion of someone who wandered into that screening totally clueless: it was fine. Kinda dumb but wanted to see where it went, good performances by the cast, great practical effects by the Jim Henson Company (!), and Iaffed when the YouTube Man appeared. It was entertaining for a general (as in, not aware or fans of FNAF) audience which is more than can be said for some films
I can't explain it but to me, Human Sam would look like this
Oh shit Sam must have watched the same freelance policing instructional VHS cassette tape as me
If Sam and Max ever made a return I'd want it to be some kinda mixed media monstrosity ala Smiling Friends, and whenever Sam and/or Max is watching TV it's always a lil live action guy, possibly from Wisconsin, teaching him how to survive edged weapons or avoid industrial accidents
ALL of Sam and Max's police training comes from VHS tapes like this

One of the best fan art pieces I ever made for Sam and max freelance police. It came out so so good. I wish I knew how to put this up in better quality :(
Max wants to get Sam a birthday present but he feels just giving him a gift would ruin his image as a snarling little death gremlin, and so instead of simply handing him a present he has to go through some nonsense rigamarole which is unduly sabotaged by Sam's good-natured ignorance
Gets a cake delivered to the front steps of their office, Sam picks it up and exclaims "Well what a far-out if not impossible coincidence - someone in our building has the exact same first name, birthday, and love of pecan fudge frosting as me! Must be for the nice pigeon fancier who sleeps near the boiler, I'll just leave it here in the gutter since I know how much he likes forage in there for his breakfast."
A card arrives in the office for Sam, he looks it over unopened before declaring "This is very suspicious, Max. This looks and feels just like a birthday card - but the only people who know my date of birth are yourself and my family, and I've already received my yearly stipend of socks and sarsaparilla money. Better fling this in the incinerator for safety's sake, for all I know bio-terrorism is back in fashion again!"
I can't see this culminating in anything other than Max trying to hide a flippin' engagement ring in a Glazed McGuffin only for Sam to ingest it without noticing and then wondering why Max is trying to rush him to the emergency room
Still not a bad time go propose. "What a wacky day, Max! I wonder how a 12 carat blue sapphire engagement ring ended up inside the gooey center of a Glazed McGuffin. Some poor schmo at the factory must have one heck of a fire-breathing significant other to contend with right now! C'mon Max, we better return this thing just as soon as they can extract it from my gullet, someone's marriage could be in mortal danger."
"Uh yeah, say Sam, since I've got you here, incapacitated and hospitalized..."

Here's my Sam and Max cocktail it's called uhhh "Just Root Beer". What you do is, Step 1) you get your root beer, then Step 2) you add "two shots of vodka" like so:
Step 3) All done!! Now Drink It
Step 4) Return to Step 1
This is how Grandpa Stinky got those two lil gremlins to conveniently pass out fall asleep and stop pestering him at his diner late into the night
