That does mean everything. It’s a completely different thing. To not have to deal with all the stuff we’ll never really use. Well, I meant, no more having to turn down a job because I have class or an exam to deal with. I promise if I ever get any exotic photoshoot offers, I’ll bring you. Either by being a model or “my assistant”, I won’t leave you behind. I am surprised that he was so determined, but I guess he admires being able to switch roles? Or the idea I had about the photo which ended up getting used since it suggests I’ve got some good ideas? All I know is it’ll be amazing to get to add working with him a second time on my resume/portfolio.

I am so holding you to that promise.  Augustus can just stay home and I’ll come along instead.  Shane won’t mind.  I think he was probably impressed with your ideas.  I mean in the midst of total chaos you were still able to think clearly about shots and what would fit the brief.  There are plenty photographers who would go to pieces, I mean I’ve been there where you get asked to do the most ridiculous things because they are panicking and can’t get their head around how to fulfil the brief when their first idea didn’t look right.

So how is everybody else?

I think it ends up not being enough. Like you’re supposed to reapply after a certain point but its never enough. I think after a certain point I don’t care anymore. I burn no matter what so I forfeit. Yeah, its a littler nerve wracking. I can’t believe its done- but its also amazing that I can work wherever and whenever. Aaron contacted me a few days ago to find out when I was free, so there is that. 

It is amazing to be finished, well with one school and now at least I get to be out doing what I want to with only the odd exam now.  You can’t quite work wherever unless you have a secret pot of money I don’t know about!  I swear if you are flying off somewhere with golden beaches and colorful cocktails you had better book me as a model and suck up to Mom to cover both our fares.  That’s amazing news about Aaron though.  He obviously saw something great in you, or maybe he was just impressed with your pout and wondered if it made you a better photographer.

I could always just apply it before I leave the house because I know I’d end up taking it out to put another lens or accessory in. It was a claiming shoot actually. Someone in my class asked me to do it since they saw my work and apparently liked it enough to trust me with the photo spread.

Well applying it before you leave the house should really be second nature to you now - but apparently not.  That’s really cool that they thought of you but you’re on your own now that school is finished. Is there much work around?

Shane smiled softly when Katarina turned around, nodding her head some. “It’s nice to finally meet her too. Now I can put her face to the name.” She cracked a smirk, making a funny face at her girlfriend. Natanya and Katarina were identical, and had Shane not known Katarina as well as she did, it would be hard to tell them apart. “I think your brother took some pictures of us,” she warned, ducking to kiss Kat’s cheek. Shane didn’t want to bring up claiming, she didn’t want to talk about it when she had plans running through her head. “Is your sister going to school at all? Or should I ask her those questions?” 

Colton had to laugh when Nat decided that Shane needed to hurry up and claim their sister already. She had no idea what it had taken for them to get to the point that they did and Colton was going to let them do their thing. “She’ll get there- they’ll get there. They have to go at their own pace. Do I wish they’d get along with it already? Yeah. I just know that neither of them are going to do anything they’re not ready for.“ He replied, shrugging looking to his sister. “Cramping your style with your not boyfriend?” He answered, watching as she tried to dodge the question and stole Auggie away as a distraction. He snapped photos of his friends and family, knowing he probably got caught. Soon they had made it to the edge, passing by the Statue of Liberty before they would make their way back. He made sure he left enough space for photos during shopping perhaps. He gave Kat a little hip check as he passed before he rejoined Nat and Auggie.

Natanya looked up with a grin as Colton rejoined her and Augustus,  “Get some good shots?  There is something very reassuring about seeing you always with a camera, it’s like some things never change.”  She watched the view for a moment before turning back to him, “What Kat said, about Marco, she’s wrong.  He is special but I don’t have the pressure she does.  I’ll see what happens when I get home, if he has actually waited for a few weeks.  That seems a good indication.”  She looked towards Katarina and Shane as the ferry came in towards the dock, “They’ll make it, Kat would never have waited this long if she thought they wouldn’t.”  She was trying to reassure herself as much as Colton, the fear that something would happen and her sister would somehow end up at the auctions after all.

Katarina shook her head with a laugh at Shane’s joke, “I know, I mean where have you ever seen a face like hers before?”  They were identical and very close but so rarely in the same room with each other that she felt as if she needed to make the most of the time.  She nodded at Shane’s question, “She goes to school in Milan but they do it differently so she is able to work at the same time.  I’m sure she said something about them having to meet requirements for scenes and things rather than spend as much time in school as we do.  Which is probably a good thing because I think Nat would just hand in pages of designs rather than any actual essays.”  The ferry docked and Katarina took Shane’s hand, looking back to see that Colton, Augustus and Natanya were making their way off the boat too. “I need new running shoes,” Katarina announced as soon as they were all back together and before anyone else could say anything.

Looking out over the water and seeing the city was beautiful. It was Shane’s first time seeing the city from the water, and it was rather relaxing. She could appreciate its beauty much better from afar. She gave Katarina a tiny squeeze, knowing that the topic of conversation could have potentially turned sour. “Do you take the ferry a lot?” she questioned, her lips grazing the blonde’s ear as she spoke. Shane knew she had to claim Katarina soon, she just wanted to plan it right. Katarina deserved that.

Colton knew that he was the outlier of the siblings, maybe because he was a Dom or because he was a guy (and therefore not a twin), but he got the feelings the girls weren’t so overjoyed to hear how soon he had been ready to commit to Auggie. The fact he was older, and approaching the Auction helped things along. Soon, Shane and Kat wandered off for a moment and Nat asked him about them. “It took them a long time to get to this point. They were together and then not and then back and then Shane had moved and then we came here and they met up. It’s been a long time but all in all the time spent together is probably less than we’re imagining. The cuff is a good sign though. Try not to worry Nat, there’s still time and she knows that between me, you, mom and Leo, she won’t be going to auction…its just obviously not the ideal situation. I think Shane is ready though…” He said, pulling Nat in for a hug. “You though…” He said, and laughed as she tried to elbow him stalking off to grab Auggie and drag him away to talk more fashion. Colton kept scanning to take photos, taking a few sneaky photos of Kat and Shane, talking closely and then turning in the opposite direction to snap a photo of Auggie and Nat talking animatedly. Eventually, Colton moved to another spot to take photos of the statue of liberty in the distance, tickling Kat as he passed, enjoying her little squeal.

Katarina leaned back against Shane with a soft sigh as she looked out over the familiar view.  “No, I rarely took the ferry.  It fun for a trip but it rarely actually got me anywhere I needed to be.  However it is always better than the mega expensive tourist boats which cost a fortune, make practically the same trip and are always packed,” she laughed as one of the tourist boats went past in the opposite direction and jam packed.  Katarina glanced around to see Natanya in deep discussion with Augustus and Colton with his camera to her eye as normal.  “I’m glad you finally got to meet Nat,” she said turning to look at Shane.  “It’s been strange talking about you for so long without her having ever met you.”

Natanya listened to Colton having forgotten about all the moving and separating that Katarina and Shane had done so it made sense that it hadn’t been that long that they had been together.  “I’m glad she has reached that point but I wish she would get a move on.  It’s nothing to do with auctions, I’ve just never seen her so close to someone and she needs settled.  You know she threatened to move to Milan to find someone and I don’t need her cramping my style.”  With a chuckle Natanya ducked out of Colton’s arm as he continued to tease her about Marco and she grabbed Augustus to discuss the latest trends and compare Italian style concepts with what he was seeing.

Colton wanted to make sure that he and Augustus were on the same page for the upcoming week. He couldn’t wait to be done with school in a few more weeks. Once they climbed out, they headed onto the ferry. They found their spots and Colton got his camera out. He snapped a few photos and then decided he’d wait until there was more scenic things. He couldn’t resist asking his other sister about finding someone. There wasn’t the same pressure on her as had been on Kat but it was certainly something he was curious about. He smiled wide when Nat blushed lightly, confessing there was a guy- an accountant which surprised him- but they were in the early days. He quirked an eyebrow what Kat started to laugh, explaining that it had been about been six months already. He laughed softly when Nat shot back about Shane, thinking the issue- as far as he could remember- had been Shane’s unwillingness and not Kat’s but he was going to keep his mouth shut- for the most part anyway. “I don’t know Nat. Six months is kinda of a long time to be casual about someone- at least when it comes to knowing if you want them. Fairly certain I was already planning, with a real seriousness, to claim Auggie by then. Don’t rush into things but don’t wait. Just imagine how you’d feel if you get back and he’s gone. If it feels shitty, make is official.” He said, kissing Auggie’s cheek softly before snapping a few photos of Manhattan from water.

Katarina’s laughter fell slightly though she tried to cover it as Nat shot back at her about admitting she liked Shane.  It wouldn’t have been so bad if her girlfriend wasn’t standing right next to her and things felt even more awkward as Colton started to go on about making plans to claim Augustus within six months.  She felt a squeeze to her fingers and turned her head to look at the domme giving her a smile.  Shane kissed her forehead again, her thumb rubbing over the cuff which Katarina wore, the one that gave the blonde submissive hope that they would make it official and soon.  Natanya seemed to pick up on her emotions and she came closer, hitting her arm lightly and joking, “Stop telling tales on me you.”  Katarina retaliated by sticking her tongue out and replying, “Then talk to the rest of your family more than once a year!”  Shane laughed at the sister’s antics but she knew Katarina well enough to know she could easily let things get out of control so she pulled her softly, “Come over here, I want to look out that way.”  With a shrug Katarina left Nat, Colton and Augustus to go with Shane and she was soon wrapped in the domme’s embrace as they looked out over the water.  Natanya turned back to Colton with a serious look, “Are they going to get it together?  I mean officially because she needs a collar round her neck soon, not that stupid cuff.  She doesn’t have long left Cole and they are both acting as if nothing is going on.”

Colton was relieved that Nat stole the attention away from Kat, which is why he was more than eager to get the table cleaned and get out of the house. He washed up the plates, smiling when he passed Auggie going down as he was heading up to his room to get his equipment. He joined him in the living room once he was done, Nat coming down a few moments later and then lastly, Kat and Shane. “Yeah, Ferry Ride before it gets too late and then too cool.” Colton said, holding the door for everyone. Once they were outside, he tangled his fingers with Auggie’s and hailed a cab for them to head over to the ferry port. He chatted with Auggie about the work they were expecting for the next week to make sure they would be around but also so that Auggie didn’t overwork himself and that he didn’t skip a meal cause he was going ‘just one more photo’. Once they got out, he was happy to head onto the ferry and contemplate taking photos. “So, Nat, not to sound like mom…but is there someone you’ve got your eyes on.”

The three girls chatted easily in the cab ride.  Katarina and Nat exchanged smiles as they could hear Colton sorting out the upcoming week with Augustus, a reminder that their brother was all properly grown up and the Dominant in a proper claim.  That thought brought Katarina back to look at Shane and she pressed a kiss to the domme’s cheek.  Once they reached their destination they all piled out and the ferry was already boarding.  They got onboard and found a place to stand, Katarina’s fingers tangled with her girlfriend’s and she knew in all their trips to New York she had never done this with Shane.  The blonde looked up biting her lip as she heard Colton’s question and she found herself giggling as Natanya’s cheeks flushed in exactly the same way hers did.  “There is this guy,” the switch admitted.  “Marco is an accountant who works for several of the fashion houses.  It’s still early days but we’re having fun right now.”  Katarina burst out laughing before covering her giggle with a cough.  Seeing the frown from Shane, Katarina explained, “It’s been early days for about six months now.  At some point are you going to admit you like this guy?”  Natanya shook her head and retaliated, “How long did it take you to admit you liked Shane?”

Colton was too busy doctoring up his pancakes and then taking care of Auggie’s as well to even notice that his sisters were laughing at him for caving so easily to Auggie’s eyes and those damn dimples of his. He wasn’t sure he would stay the whole time with his sisters, and he wasn’t sure Auggie would either, but that was something to worry about down the line. He was surprised when he saw his sister stand to leave, presumably to get change, but her plate was still half full and he felt pleased when Shane told her to sit back down. His mom approved as well but Kat was clearly not pleased at having been told off in front of the family- and her mother agreeing with Shane. Nat was quick to come up with a description. “Oh! Yeah, Leo was a really close friend in school. He’s a genius and he came up with this theory and he sold the rights to use the theory for an insane amount of money. So, when he realized that with his job at NYU, his sub acting on Broadway, Auggie in the fashion district and me and my work with mom, everyone would all be in NYC so he bought this huge brownstone for us all.” Colton said, and Auggie chimed in too. “We’ve each got two floors to ourselves and the finished basement is a communal area with a nice big bedroom for Kat. Its nice because we’re all still close and living together but we’ve got our own spaces so its just like being really friendly with your downstairs neighbors instead of like living in a dorm or something like that.” He said, and Colton gave Nat a wide smile. “You can come stay whenever you want. We’ve got the space- and I’m sure Leo and Cameron would be happy to finally meet you.” He murmured, cleaning up his plate and making sure Auggie was done as well. He collected the other plates and took them into the kitchen to wash up while the girls (and possibly Auggie too) got ready. Once he was done, he climbed upstairs to grab his camera and extra lens before settling in the living room with Auggie to wait for the girls. 

Katarina was very grateful for her sister and distracting everyone away from what she was doing.  She finished off what was on her plate, refusing to look at Shane as she did but she also did as she had been told.  As Colton started to clear up Katarina took that as a sign that she could now leave and she disappeared to her room to change, Nat and Shane just behind her.  She had been with Shane long enough to know that pouting wouldn’t have any effect, she would just laugh and that knowledge annoyed her even more.  Katarina changed into something more comfortable and sat at the mirror as she finished off her make up.  Shane wrapped her arms around her and kissed the top of her head and that was enough to bring her out of her mood.  They made their way to the living room, fingers entwined,  where everyone else was already waiting.  “Ferry ride first then?” Katarina checked.  “C’mon, let’s get going.”

Colton smiled warmly when his mother commented how happy she was to  have family there- making a point to include Auggie and Shane. He kissed Auggie softly and was so happy to feel him press against him, happy to be accepted into the family. He could see Shane and Kat were having similar feelings. He turned to Nat though and wondered what was going on in her mind. Was there someone she wanted? Would there ever be someone that she wanted? Did she want to claim someone or be claimed? After a moment, she made some comment to Kat and the girls giggled and things were back to normal. He gladly accepted a pancake and gave some to Auggie before passing it over to Nat. He shrugged lightly when their mom asked about plans- apparently the girls did have a plan. Auggie gave him a soft, pleading look at the mention of shopping. “Okay, okay, put the eyes away. We’re in. I’m taking my camera though.” He said, and poured some maple syrup over his pancakes, then passed the bottle on down. 

Katarina and Nat both giggled at Augustus’s clearly well tested method of getting what he wanted.  It worked and the decision was made they were all going shopping and on the ferry ride.  Katarina looked at Shane with a grin, “Don’t worry, we’ll do the ferry ride and lunch first and then you can decide how long you want to shop with us.  If you think I’m bad for shoe shopping you haven’t seen anything yet!”  She looked over at Nat, her brows raised as if challenging her to disagree but of course all Nat did was burst out laughing and nod.  Katarina put down her fork and spoke quietly to Shane, “I’m just going to change into better shopping clothes.”  As she began to stand Shane subtly held her hand on the table and told her quietly that if she wanted to go shopping that she had better finish her breakfast first.  The blonde sat back down with a quiet huff and picked up her fork again, her cheeks getting red and glancing up she saw her mother nod quietly to Shane, clearly in approval.  Recognising the look on Katarina’s face Natanya spoke up, “Colton, Augustus, tell me about this amazing house that you live in, when do I get to come and see it?”

Colton had to laugh softly when Kat groaned and rolled her eyes. He knew she was hoping that she and Nat could continue on their super twin bond (and yes, he knew they were technically triplets, but there was no denying the sisters had a definite bond) but she was involved in talking design with Augustus. Colton, for his part, loved seeing his Auggie light up when he talked. Auggie often did this when he asked about his designs, but there was something extra special about this because Nat understood what he was talking about. Their mother called for help, and before he could even move, Kat was taking off. Man she must be really bored. Kat, Shane and Melissa were moving around in the kitchen to make brunch and soon, the group was being called to the table. Colton pressed a soft kiss to Auggie’s temple, pleased to see him so happy. Before they could even really start to eat, Kat jumped in and asked Nat about the cute Italian guy. “Ooo Italian huh?” He teased and laughed as Nat launched a strawberry at Kat, who retaliated with a blueberry and just as a melon ball was about to come his way, their mother stopped it. Auggie buried his face in his shoulder, laughing and the girls giggled. “Somehow I feel as though mom is suddenly regretting having us all over all at once.” He said, laughing harder when his mother seemed to think about it before denying it.

Everyone was still laughing as Melissa spoke up, “I am thrilled to have all my family here.” Looking between Augustus and Shane she added, “My additional family too.”  Katarina beamed at her mother, before looking down at the cuff on her wrist.  While Shane still hadn’t formally claimed her they had at least had two trial claims and were working on the things they needed to improve on and there was no doubt in her mind (and she was sure Shane’s too) that they would be officially together soon.  Leaning in she rested her head on Shane’s shoulder and the domme lightly kissed her forehead before plucking a piece of strawberry out from between Katarina’s fingers, just in case she forgot it was there.  Nat muttered something in Italian and Katarina laughed loudly, recognising it as one of the key phrases Natanya had taught her during her visit the previous year.  Feeling a nudge on her arm Katarina took the plate of pancakes from Shane and put one of her plate before passing it on.  “So apart from driving me to distraction do any of you have plans for today?” Melissa asked.  Katarina glanced at Shane and her cheeks heated up for a moment but she didn’t get much time with Natanya and Shane had told her to plan what with her twin.  “We were thinking of taking a ferry trip and maybe some shopping,” she said before turning to Colton and Augustus, adding, “You two are welcome to come too if you want.”

Colton sighed as Kat giggled as she shut the door. He quickly got dressed and made sure that the same wouldn’t happen to Auggie by bringing him a set of clothes. He was beyond tempted to strip back down and join Auggie…but then he remembered they weren’t home and it wouldn’t be appropriate to get naught with his sub in his mother’s house. Once he was sure he could handle his sisters, he headed down. They were settled on the loveseat, so Colton took a chair, knowing Auggie would settle in it with him once he came down. He had to laugh when eventually their mother emerged to tell them to settle down. Auggie came in at that moment and squeezed himself in next to him. He smiled softly as Kat introduced their sister who chuckled and wished her luck in controlling Kat. He snorted which earned him a glare from his sister but he focused on Nat. “I’m sure I don’t need to make the introductions, but Auggie this is Natanya. Nat, this is Augustus.” He replied with a soft smile. “I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to the party, but I hope to make up for some lost time. We have so much to talk about since Auggie, you’re a designer too.” She said, and Colton and Kat rolled their eyes. Auggie looked to him and he nodded, moving to take the empty spot on the couch next to Nat so they could talk fashion. 

Katarina groaned and rolled her eyes as Nat and Augustus began to talk fashion,  Shane whispered a warning in her ear and she settled down again, curled up against her girlfriend.   After a few minutes Melissa called through for someone to help her and Katarina jumped up as she got bored sitting still.  Melissa was busy making brunch and Katarina helped her with Shane coming through after a few minutes to help as well.  Pulling fruit out of the fridge and chopping it up Katarina was still putting it in the bowl as everyone made their way to the table.  Sliding into the seat next to Shane, Katarina poured some of the fruit on to her plate before calling over to Nat, “So c’mon spill, what happened to that cute Italian guy who was chasing you last month.”  Nat picked up a strawberry and threw it at her with a giggle.  As Katarina picked up a blueberry to retaliate Melissa raised her voice telling them both to stop and both girls looked at each other giggling.

Colton was fresh out of the shower, kissing Auggie softly as he moved to have his go, giving him a little smack on the ass as he passed. Auggie gave him a shocked look and he smiled, nudging him lightly toward the door. Colton was about to pull his underwear on when his sister burst in through the door.

“Kat!” He shouted, scrambling to cover up. His sister giggled and he rolled his eyes pulling up his underwear, letting him know Nat had arrived and then stumbling away to go wake Shane. He wasted little time getting the rest of the way dressed, slipping into the bathroom with a set of clothes for Auggie, letting him know everyone was up and his sister was here.

Katarina giggled as she left the room, closing the door behind her.  She went through to her bedroom and climbed on top of her girlfriend, kissing her gently for a moment before poking her until the domme finally acknowledged her and she could tell her that Nat was downstairs.

Leaving Shane to get herself ready Katarina rushed back downstairs where the twins began to talk.  Slowly everyone else appeared but the girls ignored everyone as they discussed Milan and fashion, recalling events from Katarina’s trip the previous year.  Their conversation got faster, louder and with large amounts of giggling and getting back to talking over each other and not having to finish sentences because they knew what the other was saying.  Melissa walked into the living room with a tray of mugs, rolling her eyes. “Girls, settle down!” she exclaimed as she looked between her two daughters and as the girls looked at their mother they burst out laughing before settling back in their chair.  Finally realising Shane had appeared Katarina went and sat next to her, “Nat, this is Shane and this is my sister Natanya.”  Nat shook her head with a chuckle, “I’m  pretty sure she worked out who I was, but it’s nice to meet you Shane.  Good luck controlling Kat!”

Katarina tore up the steps of the house rushing to Colton’s room.  “Cole, she’s here,” the blonde yelled as she threw the door of her brother’s room open.  “Oops, sorry,” she said stepping back with a giggle and turning her back to him.  “Erm, I just wanted to let you know that Nat has arrived,” she giggled.  “I’ll erm, I’ll just go and wake Shane.”
