holy-red-hood replied to your post:What one thing made 2014 immeasurably more...
[mask] Ya big softie.
You mistake honesty for softness.
What one thing made 2014 immeasurably more satisfying?
A year not spent in Peña Duro is a year that brings satisfaction.
[pm] Huh. Well mine’s orange, like a blast of rocket fuel over a sunset.Â
I hope it helps.
Can’t wait! We should just totally hang out next time. How do you feel about checkers? Or Chinese checkers? Or Chinese food?Â
[pm] No.
Just between you and I, who do you want to bone, Mr Bane?
Puerile.
Do not waste my time.
Juice // Chance The Rapper
[pm] Calm your farms, I was just going to ask your favorite color!
They paid me by restocking my supply of rocket fuel. That stuffs hard to come by and mixing my own results in more explosions then useable fuel. Whoops. But I would have done it even without that extra motivator. It was dangerous, maybe one of the most dangerous things I’ve ever been asked to do. How could I say no to that? Or at least, that’s what I thought when we had an understanding that only one guy would get out.Â
Hellhound AKA Kai Chifford, killed the mayor while they were both locked up in Blackgate. He’s an odd duck, talks all uppity about how he’s going to ‘transcend’ and turn into an actual demon dog. Note to self; Religion is scary.
He’s generally snooty and superior, but seems to dislike women in particular, especially working with or receiving help from them. Either he leaked our correspondence to Blackgate security or Big Brother did, and BB obviously considered him important enough to risk drawing the attention of all the Gotham’s law enforcement agencies and vigilantes to bust him out.Â
[pm] I do not have a favorite color.
Then, capturing the attention of law enforcement was not part of his plan.Your information may prove useful.
Expect me to call on you again, if necessary.
[pm] Big Brother? Yeah, seems likely, and he did say so himself. He might even be the reason Hellhound offed the mayor in the first place. The only other theory I’ve heard was that it was because the mayor tried to steal his juice box, and Hellhound didn’t seem too upset to be missing out on the juice boxes I bought him as breaking out gift, so I reckon that’s been disproved.Â
I’ll answer your other two questions if you agree to answer two for me. Fair’s fair, especially since I already gave you a freebie.Â
[pm] We converse on my terms, and my terms alone. You do not have a say in what is fair.Â
[pm] That depends. What kind of insights are you looking for, Old Sport?Â
[pm] Do you have sufficient reason to believe that the person who is sending the messages is the moving force behind the operation?
How were you compensated for your time?
Tell me what you know about this Hellhound.
Bane, what is the ideal picture of Gotham to you? What would social structures, or the lack of them, look like?
I have studied the history of this place. Greed is surmountable. The heathens that are motivated solely by money, they can be easily done away with or quelled. They confuse money with power. Years ago, this was the breed that ran Gotham.
The city enters a new age. The beasts at Arkham who favor their chaos or live to create it. It is best to execute them. Imprisoning a population that lives to escape, near a city of victims, is ridiculous.
If there is not a population, there is no power. Power is rule over people, not funds or weapons.
The city must first be cleansed of Arkham. The local government liquidated. The police, who are greedy, incompetent and full of sloth, done away with.
In their place, militant organization. Ways to keep the population safe, and in that, keep the mess makers and the money seekers out.
I am talking about secession. In that secession will come pride, and with that pride will come the knowledge that the city is working and living on a higher plane.
Children will be schooled in a way to create strong, ambitious adults. Work will be doled out to not only create a paycheck for the worker, but strong personal pride and drive.
Politics and the federal government must be pushed out to see a people thrive.
[pm] So maybe it ain’t the president. I don’t think he’d want that many bad guys on the street like this. Look, if they got the power to do this, then maybe they can do different cool things, like maybe one at Arkham.
Hey, could you ask if they’d let out some Arkham guys instead?
[pm] Arkham is a different animal entirely. I will not ask. The second that the hall of broken mirrors known as Arkham is breached, this operation, if it is one, loses my confidence.Â
Prisoners can be controlled. Arkhamites cannot.
Do not ask, Harleen Quinzel.Â
[mask pm] That they do. The miners are smart men. They’ll likely die first, these small animals. That’s probably for the better.
Funny enough, the internet provides plenty of opportunity. I prefer pen and paper offers. It means they’re serious. I don’t trust vague sentences from some computer with an inferiority complex.
As it goes, it did happen. Police have the streets blockaded, Blackgate prisoners are ransacking department stores, and the week just started. They’ll play at control for as long as they can, but I doubt it will last long.
I will. In a way, I hope they do. I’m awful curious about these assassins that they’re threatening.
[pm] The one who contacted us might have not had a hand in the breakout. Only a way to know it was going to happen.
Chaos can be so easily manipulated.
[pm] I dunno for sure yet. Like, first I’d have to check with Mister J and see if it’s a good idea, y’know, he’s real good with business stuff like that. But anyway, what if it’s the president on the other end? He’s putting this out there to try to fool us into working with him and then he arrests us? That would be rude.
Are you gonna talk to them, Big B?
[pm] The breakout is worthy of my attention. It is not worthy of my faith.
That depends on what happens next.
Bane, what fictional mystery is your favorite?
I do not read fiction.
[mask pm] It’s only how jackasses work. They’ll go, because they feel they have something to prove. An inferiority complex, if anything. This ‘Big Brother’ could even be a vigilante, but whose to know. They threatened assassins against one. That’s like threatening fire with the pain of burning. I’m not being paid enough to care for this.Â
[pm] Lessers will be attracted to the vague and unsubstantiated offer. In mines, miners used caged birds and small animals, to warn of poison gas.
This is not the first time I have been solicited through the internet for vague work. I doubt it will be the last.
Perhaps the breakout will happen, but the person who emailed us has nothing to do with it; no direct control.
If you are contacted in a more personal manner, tell me. I will do the same.
did you get what you wanted for christmas?
I do not celebrate holidays. They do not mean anything to me.
