My flowers are ready to bloom, soon I can wear them as a crown. The fire of my love is going to engulf my entire soul.
Abduxaliq Uyghur, "To Bloom," from Uyghur Poems
Learning to express emotions, without hiding behind a veil, are baby steps, and it feels like I am learning to walk. I might stumble, but I will hold on.
There is a melancholy that follows my footsteps. Ashes engulfing my dreams, of the demons not meant to be. In that darkness, shuttered light, I saw you looking down on me and everything felt strange afterwards.
Our forever was meant to be spotless.
Beauty are for those that have the courage to hold on, when all else is telling them to let go.
The dream of us, makes me happy.
She walked away not because she didn’t love you, but because within her, there was war that had to be won.
Beauty, exists,
Sacrificed everything, for a dream that I was no longer sure, capable of achieving.
At the end of it all, life had taught me not to resign.
“You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them. Try to be a rainbow in someone’s cloud. Do not complain. Make every effort to change things you do not like. If you cannot make a change, change the way you have been thinking. You might find a new solution.”
Letter to My Daughter, Maya Angelou
Don’t forget that, art and beauty is within us.
“The first step is the simple recognition that solitude exists. A lack of connection to other people, after all, is not something we are normally eager to seek, acknowledge or welcome. We are solitary. It is possible to deceive yourself and act as if it were not the case … How much better … to take it as our starting-point.”
Letters to a Young Poet, Rainer Maria Rilke, Embracing solitude is the key.
“The letters to friends are less reticent, however, and one of their surprises is how often Rilke speaks of being anxious and afraid. Afraid of what? Afraid, I think, that he might never become his own person.”
Letters to a Young Poet, Rainer Maria Rilke.
“ordinary life … seems to bid us haste’, but patience ‘puts us in touch with all that surpasses us’. Practised in the present, patience is the art of courting the future. It belongs to becoming rather than being, to the unfinished rather than the completed. It is not so much suited to heroes as to invalids and convalescents, those who must wait.”
Letters to a Young Poet, Rainer Maria Rilke, On the question of patience in our lives.
Suffering for a poet is easier to describe, and paint for the reader. While happiness, on the other hand is inexplicable, cannot be written easily, where do I get the words, to vividly describe my happiness? I simply feel happiness and while suffering and pain, makes the world stop and therefore you are forced to think. And suffer your mind, to all.
The 20’s were created as a step, when one falls in love deeply, with whomever or whatever that may be, and finally discovers their self.
