1. i wasn't contesting that the first quote is a shitty thing to say
2. it doesn't matter what the qualifier on the second quote is bc the punchline is still "a lack of empathy is terrifying and bad and makes u a bad, abusive person" and rhetoric that vilifies and dehumanizes a lack of empathy/links a lack of empathy unequivocally w abusive behavior is ableist, upholds lines of thought that lead to the abuse of ppl w disorders and disabilities, and has absolutely no place in anti-oppressive discourse
I'm digging your posts, but you know "sociopath" isn't an actual diagnosis, right? A lot of people with ASPD/other personality disorders actually consider it to be a slur. I know some people with ASPD have attempted to reclaim it, but unless you have this disorder (and if you do I apologize for overstepping my bounds) you probably shouldn't use it except in the context of explaining why it's oppressive/dehumanizing.
i was aware that it was a colloquial rather than medical term but was unaware that it's considered a slur - thank u for the heads upi rrrreally need 2 get off tumblr for a bit so id rather not go thru and change them now but for when i get back on would it be better if i just went thru and swapped the terms out or leave the posts as is and add a note stating that ive been made aware of the issue?

i was talking about the fact that op labeled not having empathy as creepy and bad when it's a common behavioral struggle faced by ppl w many different mental disorders
ofc op didn't specifically bring up disabled ppl, bc they weren't THINKING about disabled ppl at all. that's the PROBLEM
