The best way to know people
First, let me answer one question I would ask myself if Iād read the title above: why do I need to know people? Fair question.
Every thing we need depends on how well get along with people! Whatever we do for a living, we are salespeople. Politicians sell votes. Journalists sell policies of corporations. Economists sell profit. Television personalities sell image. Sportspeople sell competition. Factory and warehouse workers sell labour. Office workers sell time. Programmers sell data. Lawyers sell arguments. Writers sell words. Scholars sell ideas. We are all sales people.
And to sell one must have people. Therefore, we must have knowledge how people behave in different aspects. Followings are three main steps to know people what makes them tick:
1. Ask what he or she thinks is right or wrong. And why.
2. Ask what how s/he sees the national and world events
3. While he or she is answering your questions, pay attention to two things carefully ā sound and body language! Sound of the words give us a clue of the energy of someone; and the body language confirms whether he or she is telling us the truth!
