Marketing Strategy Manager / Director
Seattle-based client looking for a creative, execution-oriented Marketing Manager / Director (focus online / digital) who can expand our marketing efforts. Position will own the marketing domain for the company, whether online or offline efforts. Focus will be to expand and deepen penetration nationally and play a key role in the re-plat-forming/redesign of our site in accordance with exciting new brand objectives. Your range of work might cover a lot of ground and you will often need to be scrappy and self-sufficient. You will have a lot of freedom to experiment to see what works, but will also need to be diligent about investing time and money in the ideas delivering the best results.
As the Digital Marketing Strategist, you will be responsible for planning, optimizing, implementing and analyzing natural and paid search engine marketing activities, and social media channels. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in pay-per-click (PPC) management, search engine optimization (SEO) tactics and social media management. In addition, candidate must have a positive attitude, a passion for keeping up with trends and the ability to operate on both a strategic and tactical level.
Job Description
• Manage the day-to-day search marketing activities including campaign planning, implementation, budget management, performance review and optimization • PPC responsibilities include keyword research, ad copy creation, conversion rate optimization and the review and analysis of performance metrics using Google Analytics and other reporting tools • SEO responsibilities include keyword research, content writing, inbound linking, technical SEO, local optimization, social media, and analysis of website performance metrics • Social Media responsibilities include activating and updating social channels, developing and implementing content strategies, and analysis of efforts and value gained • Responsible for reporting and analytics, including data analysis, updating dashboards and creating monthly performance reports • Coordinate with stakeholders across all business lines and programs to ensure strategy effectiveness • Research, develop and implement initiatives that drive target KPI’s such as sales conversion rates, inbound lead volume, marketing site traffic, and other related performance metrics • Drive marketing automation process by optimizing lead scoring processes, lead nurturing workflows, email campaigns and CRM integrations • Design and organize creative offline and online marketing campaigns • Manage content generation and distribution • Be creative, review, and edit site content, articles and posts • Work with PR agency on all public relations activities to generate greater brand awareness for the company • Lead our social media presence and related content strategy • Be comfortable both executing work directly and managing vendors to help produce campaigns • Assess, cultivate, and implement strategic partnerships • Execute the strategies, plans and development of the Affiliate Program • Run and optimize AdWords campaigns • Own all aspects of Vendor Marketing (marketing to our partners/merchants)
Desired Skills and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or greater • 3+ years marketing experience • Hands-on experience with SEO and SEM best practices • Experience with Google analytics, affiliate and email marketing, Google Webmaster Tools, Google AdWords and Bing Ads • Ability to interact effectively with various constituents at a company • Demonstrated ability to manage relationships and partnerships with individuals, organizations and communities • Printing, Magento and Hubspot experience a plus • Experience with new ecommerce site design or redesign, re-plat-forming, and/or enhancements on an existing ecommerce site • Expert knowledge of digital marketing, social media trends and best practices to support new customer acquisition • Strong analytical skills with ability to drive meaningful actions from data • An organized individual with great attention to detail and focus on quality • Exceptional copy writing and editorial skills • Any industry certifications are a plus: Google AdWords Certification, Google Analytics Certification, etc. • Creative problem solver who inspires innovation across the entire team • Ability to multi-task and deliver under pressure in a high-visibility role. • Excellent communication and writing skills • Highly-motivated and entrepreneurial
