Software Development Manager Responsibilities: - Experience managing and leading highly motivated software development teams to deliver projects on time and within budget. - Lead development projects for network communications products for network infrastructure, media systems and security. - Demonstrate excellent communications skills and a strong customer orientation. Some travel to customer locations may be required on occasion. We are seeking a candidate with 5 to10 years of Software Development Management experience. This is a technical team management role reporting to the Director, Application Software Services. As the leader of this team, you will be responsible for the software development efforts being undertaken on numerous projects to support our business units. In addition to managing a team of 7 to 10 software developers and Business Analyst, you will also be the acting scrum product owner for one of our key products.

  RESPONSIBILITIES

  · The technical functions you will be supporting include software development, business analysis, release management, security administration and change management for the suite of applications that the team is accountable for.

  · Development of team members, including establishment of performance goals, identification of professional development needs and opportunities, performance monitoring, providing feedback and coaching, and recommending pay actions.

  · Manage development, maintenance and support work to ensure completion within budget and schedule.

  · Accountable for Application Lifecycle Management including the planning, collaboration with other teams and execution of all activities necessary to take an application from prototype stage through sunset.

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND JOB RELATED SKILLS

  · 5-10+ years' experience managing a development team, or alternative experience predictive of success in the role.

· In depth knowledge of the principles, theories, practices and techniques for performing the activities related to planning, managing and implementing application development projects and programs.

· Technical competency with: C#, .net, ASP, web services using Soap and XML interfaces, SQLserver, TSQL

  · Ability to motivate and energize the team to deliver and continuously improve.
