04. return.
[ Man, just how long had he been skipping classes?!? How was he not kicked out of school yet?!?!??!!?!? The world may never know.
But hey, at least he was sort of attempting to be present, now. That much was obvious by his actually wearing the uniform, and actually being in the school’s buildings, instead of sleeping in his dorm or outside in the sun. It just so happened that, hey, he was strolling outside the front entrance with his hands sunk in his pockets and his shoulders slouched, tail hanging low to the ground. He’d decided that people probably wouldn’t care about his demonic heritage, so there was no use hiding it.
Besides, it just seemed like this place had way too many people for his liking. Rin really didn’t enjoy being shoved into being around so many people; he didn’t like it one bit. But…he was supposed to be trying to be a little more social, so he made it his personal mission to at least hold a solid conversation with someone, today. He’d been wondering if there was a market around here, cooking was always the way to bring people together— ]
!!!!
[ Wow, he really hadn’t been paying attention (it didn’t help that he was quite the klutz) and it looks like he tripped on the last few steps of the stairs!!! And oh no, it looks like all of his stuff is flying in random directions, including a certain heavier looking book that he’d been carrying with ease due to his demonic strength. It just so happens that this book hits an unsuspecting person in the back, ouch!!! Rin manages to catch just about everything in a tumble, save for a few pencils and…well, the book that just assaulted the poor person. ]
Uh—
A-Are you alright…?
[ Shoving the contents of what he’d caught back into his bag, he approached the other person slowly, not wanting to aggravate them. He really was a screw up, wasn’t he? ]
Strolling around in the hallways, the only feeling worse for Elliot than loneliness was increasing boredom. There weren't any cases more serious than some small bruises, so she left her assistant in charge of the nurse office. In that crazy school full of people fighting each other, such a day could be seen as bliss by many, but without her work she simply had nothing else to do. A few weeks passed by, and she still remained pretty much alone.
A student was walking behind her, making his presence known by dropping everything he carried with him. A klutz just like her, huh. Before she could turn around to help him—
Thud.
“Ow ow oww... !!” A heavy impact caused her to fall, comically rolling on the floor in torn out paper. She wanted to scream "is a doctor nearby?", but then realized she was one and shut up.
“A-Are you alright…?”
The boy looked apologetic enough. Not wanting to worry him, Elliot tried to stand up and smiled.
“I'm alright! My spine is still in one piece!”
