Someone had summoned the Loa,he heard the silent call from afar and he was confused. It had been ages since that happened and normally he would make his appearance by his own. He stepped out of the shadows, blank eyes staring directly at the one that stood before him.

“Who are you?”

Lucy had been lost in thought, barely paying any attention to where she was going, let alone the figure coming towards her. Her movement paused at the sound of a voice speaking to her. Slowly, she turned her head to look at him and tensed up.

“I could ask you that…”

“Are you not the one that summoned me to this place?” Baron questioned, probably was a mistake. A strong thought where nobody would think there would be an answer to it.

“My name is Baron Samedi.. Doesn’t ring a bell?”

“I don’t know…” He admitted, his hand stretching out like he was going to place his palm in the centre of Baron’s chest but he quickly dropped it to his side. 

“I might find you attractive but usually I only get aroused when people are controlling me or being… Um.. Something. And you’re just hanging out.” He giggled shyly. “I-I should go…”

“That is mainly because I am more known for being the spirit of death. Less known to be the spirit of sex” Baron talked about it as if it was nothing, he didn’t mind sharing the information at all.

“You seem to be very flustered, Elliot. You do not need to silence yourself because of it. Is there any way I can help you with that?”

He decided to ask, if Elliot was curious about Voodoo, he could simply answer his questions. Even if he did find it rather amusing to see someone flustered before him, he didn’t want the other to suffer from it.

“Oh?” Baron seemed to be intrigued. So Elliot was aroused just by being in his presence? That was something new. But it could also be the fact that he wasn’t only the spirit of death but of something that contradicts it all.

“Perhaps it is me who’s causing this to you. I’m not only the Loa of death, but also one of sex. Two complete opposite things, I know.”

“I’ve never thought of that. But I am sure there are spirits of death across other worlds. That way it’ll be balanced” Baron spoke, he wasn’t entirely sure but it made sense to him. 

Otherwise other worlds would be covered with immortals, right? That would only bring chaos and eventually destruction. Therefore there had to be other’s similar to him across the universe.

He noticed how Elliot kept looking down, barely even meeting eye to eye. “.. Do I intimidate you?”

“Intimidate me..? I mean… Not really.” Elliot mumbled. He honestly couldn’t tell if it was his magic or not that was making him feel an urge to get closer to the man, wanting to go over and snuggle into him. 

“I mean… I’m not really intimidated.. I just sort of… Blush super easily and my magic is being all tingly and it feels good and - I d-don’t k-know!”

“Are you sure it is your magic that makes you feel.. Tingly?” Baron had to ask as well.. It seemed to be some other emotion he had experienced once in his lifetime and he had seen thousands of times among others.

“You do not need to answer if you wish not to do so. I should not meddle with your privacy either”

“No, no, you’re not dead.” Baron had to reassure him, “I walk among the humans fairly often. Besides, if I thought it was time for you to die, I’d let you know and make sure it is done peacefully” Being the spirit of the dead did come with some responsibilities, not only could he decide when one would die, he needed to make sure it was done right and with minimal pain as he helped them cross into the afterlife.

Baron eyed the energetic figure before him, lips curling into a smile as he was amused. “Elliot.. You are born with magic, aren’t you? Like a mage? Or is it entirely different?” Now it was his turn to be curious.

“I am Baron.. Baron Samedi, loa.. Or as I should put it: Spirit of Death”

“As a matter of fact, I do. Have you ever heard of the term ‘voodoo’?” It was obvious that he wasn’t human either, sure he had the body and the face of one but his eyes gave it away. Of course, he didn’t mind the stares, he wasn’t one to hide himself away from others.

“Do you sense it or something?”
