ひるねぇぇぇ。Naptime at Miyajima. (at 宮島)
Miyajima realness. Alternative caption, “HAAAAAAAAAAAAAA~!” (at 宮島)
Went back to Miyajima to relive study abroad memories and add some new ones. Like wrestling a plastic bag out of a deer’s mouth and catching a Jigglypuff on a ropeway. (at 宮島)
Fushimi Inari Shrine wasn’t quite my Kashima Yutoku Inari Shrine, but I’ll take it. (at 伏見いなり神社)
No red tori, no life. (at 伏見いなり神社)
Roppongi really does it for me.
Japanese landscapes never get old. (at Hizen-Kashima Station)
Right before this picture, they made me give a speech, which I began with “Uh, I’m drunk.”
I’m not crying, that’s just sweat from playing baseball with a bunch of 6th graders that are just the worst and I don’t like them at all, geez, yes, I will take a tissue. (Also, check out my sweet foreigner nose.)
Three scarves in under a year. Two to teachers, one to my supervisor. None for me because I refuse to abandon the one my mama knit me.
Goodbye, best parfaits and sandwiches. (at ぐりるるーむ Begin)
Going to miss the Yutoku Inari shrine in Kashima. And exploring it with the boy.
Things I’ll miss: cherry blossoms cherry blossoms cherry blossoms.
Now that my time in Japan is seriously winding down, it’s time for me to start realising what I’m gonna be missing out on soon. Like this amazing agu pork tonkatsu in Okinawa.
More standing form ikebana today! Not my fave but I at least didn’t need any help from the senseis today, did this one all on my own! #ikebana
Serving mud realness for the gods. What a time to be alive. (at 鹿島ガタリンピック)
Today’s ikebana, basic upright style moribana from the Sogetsu school using yellow roses, larkspur, and dracaena.
