[PREMIERE] Barnaby Bennett - Summer 2018

Calgary’s Barnaby Bennett is back with an eclectic 5-track album of 160bpm remixes. This Pay-What-You-Can release by the experimental YYC producer sees Barnaby joined by fellow footwork-stalwarts Chicago’s DJ Jalen, NYC’s Mel G and Text Chunk & Old Booth from Edmonton. We are happy to premiere this collection of trax for those long summer days here on FWJ.

I posted about these things when Irwin Chusid started broadcasting them via his WFMU show … but he’s made it up to episode 10 of Tom Wilson’s Music Factory, so here’s an update. Totally fun late 1960s time capsules, with lots of music and insight from a diverse cast of characters. Forthcoming episodes feature Richie Havens, Janis Ian and the Lovin’ Spoonful. Groovy.
